I'm very happy with Healthy Paws. Our dog needed some oral surgery and had a mass on her back. I wasn't sure it was going to be covered but it was, saving me almost $1000. Since then I've encouraged my friends to join and several have.

I took my dog to the E.R. after he let out a howl when I tried to pick him up. They gave him pain meds and anti-inflammatory. The next day I took him to his regular vet who did an exam and x-rays. I sent in two separate claims so that may have caused some confusion, however, I am most pleased with the prompt turn-around time and the fairness of the claim. I would also suggest you are very careful in entering information if you choose to use direct deposit. I would like to verify that I entered my account no. correctly. While I can access the routing no., I have been told by customer service, there is no way to access or verify your account no. I just have my fingers crossed that I didn't make any typos. Although I'm sure I didn't, not being able to confirm such information is a bit unsettling.

Embrace is the best pet insurance company out there! Their staff is well trained and they process claims expediently (if only the vet's office would do their job faster). I have a Chinese Crested who has been terribly problematic with multiple health issues. But when a treatment can save your dog's life, how absolutely devastating would it be to be not be able to approve it because of cost? I'm so glad we had insurance through Trupanion. I called wih tears in my voice to try and figure out what I needed to do and they were so nice and helpful. I received an email stating they were reviewing my claim the very next day after i submitted it and I received a check in the mail that same week. I am so grateful that i could focus on getting my dog the best care she needed instead of also having to focus on ways to pay for her care.

Our little Ali freaked out during a thunderstorm while we were on vacation and we were out of the friends home we were staying with. She was in her crate. She broke a couple of teeth and cracked several others. I called Healthy Paws to inquire about the claim process and they were first concerned about Ali. They then walked me through the process. Their online claim process is quick and easy and they keep you informed.

I was impressed by each step of the process in submitting a claim. I was notified my claim had been received and quickly updated as it was reviewed. A check was issued within 10 days of the medical incident - my own family doctor should be so prompt!
