Excellent value and service

When my dog got hit by a car I submitted the claim from the emergency hospital and the follow-up at our regular vet and was reimbursed very quickly. I also received follow up correspondence asking how my dog was doing, which I thought was a very nice touch.

So glad for Healthy Paws

I got Healthy Paws pet insurance when we got our goldendoodle puppy. I know puppies are curious and get into everything and sure enough he ate a skewer with steak on it. He endend up getting a abscess because the skewer had poked through his stomach into some fatty tissue and caused an abcess and infection. Thank goodness I signed up for pet insurance.

Well Done

While on a trip we had to make an emergency stop at a Walmart because they were the only people with the right sized tire. They would not allow our Newfoundland Thunder into any air conditioned space in the bldg. As a result he suffered a very bad case of heat stroke with temp over 109. We stopped at the first clinic we could and they stabilized him and got his temp to normal. We then had to drive another 1.5 hours to find an emergency clinic open 24/7. He spent 4 days in their intensive care unit with plasma and whole blood along with a host of other treatment. Total bill was over $6,000 when the blood check up after we got home was factored in . This was the first claim we had made to Trupanion in 5 years. It took about 3 weeks total which they told me it would since it was the first claim. They paid exactly as they said they would- 90% of the 3 visits, less the deductible and the exam fees which were not covered.

Healthy Paws Did Not Disappoint

My 1 1/2 year old Ragdoll suddenly began to have a terrible hacking cough. Diagnosis and treatment involved X-Rays and then Sedation X-rays, two medications and a cost of over $500. Having had a bad experience a number of years back with a very well known pet insurer, where none of my dogs illnesses seemed to be in a covered "category", I chose Healthy Paws because their plans seemed upfront and easy to understand. They did not disappoint. Promptly received reimbursement on my claims, minus the office visit and deductible, exactly as their plan was described. Had a question for customer service and they could not have been nicer. Healthy Paws is giving a wonderful gift to pet parents, peace of mind!

People insurance should be this good!

Our 18 month old cat suddenly became listless and was having a problem with her hindquarters. As a result, we immediately took her to our vet for a series of tests. It was such a relief to know we had coverage for our two little cats even though we had never used it before. To my surprise & relief, not only did Healthy Paws promptly process all claims within days - but they paid us within a week. The emails from their company not only were quick & informative, but showed caring & compassion. It's obvious to me that the staff at Health Paws are also pet parents who love their animals as much as we do. I am absoutely thrilled with their customer service!

First Claim

My first claim since I've had the insurance on my Golden Retriever. I was pleasantly surprised that I will be receiving a refund after applying my deductible on this $500+ claim. I am very satisfied with Embrace and feel fortunate that I found them during my search for pet insurance. Thank you!

So Far,,,, So Good!

I have only had Scout's insurance with Healthy Paws since Feb of 2013. Here it is July and I have already submitted 3 claims. (Have to love puppies!) The first 2 claims went in together. It took about a week & a half to get it all completed as they had to enter the medical history and get all of the background on the situation. The 3rd claim was about 2 weeks ago when my Scout got a bottle of vitamins and ate them. (vitamins, platic bottle, lid and all) Scout spent the night in the hospital on a Wednesday and came home Thursday morning. I called Healthy Paws Thursday morning and asked them to fax a claim form to my vet as I had forgotten to take one. Friday morning I called the vet to verify that they had it. Indeed they did. The vet completed the form and faxed it back first thing that Friday morning. That same day, I had a response back from Healthy Paws on the claim. I was very impressed that they had processed it in less than a day. The explaination was clear and easy to understand. The check came in the mail approx a week later. I have spoken with Healthy Paws staff several times by phone & email. They are always very polite & helpful. They followed up after the viatmin incident to make sure Scout was ok as well. I'm thankful for the quality service I have received so far with them. Hoping that I don't need to talk to them any time soon..... Excellent

After several years with a different insurance and so many hassles, I switched to Embrace. I am so glad I did and wish I had done it sooner. I so pleased with their responsiveness, helpfulness, and always keeping me informed. The coverage is better and the cost is cheaper! Best switch I ever made.
