Completely unprofessional
Submitted a claim on January 18th for my dog that had developed a mucocele and a spleen mass. The entire claim was over $4000.00. My claim was opened and closed 3 consecutive times declaring that they had not received proper information. This was completely untrue. I had been checking my app daily for progress and responded each time I saw a change in the status of my claim. I submitted and resubmitted vet info to them 5 times throughout this process. Each time placing phone calls to representatives and being placed on hold for a minimum of 43 minutes and a maximum of 72 minutes. I spoke to multiple reps and each one apologizing about the confusion, assuring me it would be taken care of. Now on April 3, almost 4 months later, I receive an email saying they will cover $52.40 and the rest was not covered because of possible “pre-existing symptoms”. Completely untrue and unacceptable! Time to lawyer up!

The Best Pet insurance
I'm sure there are a number of pet insurances out there, but Embrace quickly processes their claims and makes the payment as quickly as possible - for both wellness and other medical claims. Their service is easy to use and they provide you with updated forms each year you continue with them. I plan to stay with them for a good, long time. They are the best pet insurance to me!

Just what we needed exactly when we needed it
We got an 8 week old tricolor corgi puppy in February. After his first vet visit, Trupanion was recommended and we started a policy. Not one week later we had to take him to the hospital and then to many other vets for additional tests and screenings related to the condition. Trupanion covered almost all the costs after our deductible. Very very helpful. At no point did we have to have that conversation about whether or not we could keep our new puppy like what could have happened due to the high costs.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We've been purchasing pet insurance for our companions for at least 20 yrs., way before Trupanion was in existence, so we are experienced in this market space. From a comparative standpoint, Trupanion excels in customer service, coverage, premium costs, claims processing & most importantly, most DVMs trust only this insurer when it comes to an extended courtesy of a "direct pay" for catastrophic situations. Data systems are advanced & there are selective situations where Trupanion's software system may be integrated with your DVM's software system. Trupanion continues to advance in the marketplace and to date, they are the ONLY pet insurance company we recommend.
