No Longer #1

no longer recommend Pets Best Insurance. I purchased Pet's Best when I first brought my puppy home in 2011. I wanted the best for her. I researched through several consumer reports and read all the customer testimonials. At that time Pets Best was ranked #1. My vet suggested Trupanion, but I chose Pets Best. My first claim was for an ear infection, pretty common and straight forward. I submitted my claim electronically through their website with no problem. I was reimbursed directly into my checking account online and was thrilled. I told everyone about Pets Best. A year later another more severe and stubborn ear infection occurs with follicular conjunctivitis - seasonal allergies being the primary cause. I have sent three claims. Each time, after two days have passed, I get an email that they did not receive all the paperwork - all two pages of it. Of course, this holds up processing of the claim. They are now rejecting part of my claim as grooming. My veterinarian does not offer grooming services. Anyone knows a deep, thorough medically required ear cleaning, usually beyond the expertise of a layperson, is required to treat the infection. Also, the ear cleaning is part of the exam. This is how they obtain the cultures to determine the type of bacteria or yeasts present. Customer service told me I could clean her ears at home. The issue with her eyes is borderline. Lifesaver

I am retired and on a fixed income. When my dog was mauled by 2 pitbulls, I put all my savings into his care. Getting most of it back was a lifesaver. You all saved me and Casper is alive and well. Thank you so much.

Great company

Our first experience with a pet insurance company and we are extremely impressed. Our cat has breathing problems which required investigation which would have rapidly become expensive. I spoke with a phone advisor who answered all my questions in a polite, professional and friendly manner and didn't mind that I'm a pet insurance newbie! Trupanion kept us informed of the claims progress via email and a cheque was sent to us much more quickly than I expected! Their website is informative and easy to navigate. I highly recommend Trupanion to anyone considering pet insurance!

Molly's spaying

We had our Molly, spayed on August 27th and submitted a "Wellness" claim for her care, through our vet. The claim was handled quickly and we were kept appraised of it's status, throughout the process!!

surgery

my puppy was sick and I took him to the vets to find that he had a blockage in his tummy, they gave me a quote and if it was not for having the insurance there would have been no way possible to have done the surgery.they where fast on doing my claim that I had the money to pay the bill before the 30 days where up. Today I have my little friend still and he recovered with flying colors.

I do not recommend them!

If you want to add Wellness to your policy, they will not want an email from you. You need to call and contact them 10 days before the expiration. When I emailed, I was told I can do it by email. Later I was I had to call. I did both and still Wellness was not added to my policy. So I had to wait another year. It's been almost year and I got a notification via email that my policy will be renewed and when I responded about adding my Wellness, I was told, to call 10 days before the expiration date. When I asked Pet Best (Pet Worst) if they can be reminder because it's suppose to be exactly 10 days (including weekends or not), we went around and around, email them, call them, etc. I cancelled my insurance. I won't recommend them!

Amazing

I have had nothing but good experiences with Embrace. They have provided prompt, reliable medical coverage with a knowledgable staff. I experienced nothing but a headache with another insurance provider. I switched to Embrace 3 years ago and remain happy and confident that my pups have a reputable provider.

So Thankful for Healthy Paws Insurance

We have two dogs under Healthy Paws Insurance. One a goldendoodle now 2yrs and and older cockapoo now 9 yrs old. Both have had issues that required extra care and knowing we had pet insurance that works as well as Healthy Paws was a blessing. Response has been fast and efficient and I truly feel they care about their customers and the pets they cover. I would hightly recommend and have recommended them to anyone seeking pet insurance.

Very personable service.

I am impressed by their claim handling and follow ups. When I submitted claims, they email the status regularly. The emails allow for a reply. I am impressed that Laura Bennett, the co-founder does a follow up and also allows replies. Overall, I feel the company really cares about me and my pup. The "ask a vet service" is wonderful and very responsive. I'm glad I went with Embrace.

Excellent service

We have had our little love Teddy for about a year now, Unfortunaly he seems to have quite a weak immune system & we have been to the vet with him more than we would like. Each time Health Paws has processed our claim within 24 hours & this last time our dedcutible was met. We recieved our reimbursement check within a week. This is outstanding service & I recommend Healthy Paws to every pet-parent I know. I am so glad I insured this wonderful member of our family.
