Called to terminate my Trupanion insurance because they look for every possible way to not pay a claim. Was transferred to a very sweet sounding lady who went on and on for 10 minutes about why I should think twice about terminating my insurance. One of the most revealing things she said to me was in response to my statement about a $6000 bill our lab had for eating a small toy and blocked intestine. She did say that if that were to happen again, they might not pay because it might be a behavioral issue and they do insure against behavior issues. What the hell. Does she think labs don't eat or chew? Do they think eating and chewing are behavioral issues? Just confirms my decision to drop this worthless company.

I decided it was time and worth the cost invovled in getting Archer my beloved pug insurance. I provided his vet clinic a copy of the policy. So far, the claim process has been great, seamless has been described by others. I would agree. I will recommend to a close friend as she needs to get her pooch insured.

Not knowing what to expect, and usually not being a fond of insurance companies in general, I was hesitant. I made some research, and Healthy Paws looked a lot more sincere. I decided to purchase and wait and see for one year if I will ever need to use the insurance. Sure enough Bo had a major surgery at 9 months and second at 23 months. Healthy Paws covered everything in the agreement, with no questions, and followed up on Bo asking how he was doing. The claims were processed within 2-3 days. Online submission of the receipts is very convenient. i have been recommending Healthy paws to anyone I meet now. It is a great company, with great service and they really love animals!
