This insurance SUCKS

The policies with this company (wellness & accident) are guaranteed to increase your out-of-pocket pet expenses and you will see little to no reimbursements for claims. After $8,000+ in claims, they paid a total of $225 and our premiums were $600. Their favorite denial is "pre-existing" condition or "birth defect". I would not recommend this insurance to my worst enemy.

Great Service!!

I have been with Embrace for 2yrs now and have filed maybe 2-3 claims a year for heart worm meds. Yearly check ups and maybe 3 incident claims. They have been very professional and are quick with the reimbursements. I recommend them to everyone that I talk to about pet insurance. My recent claim was for an infection of the mandibular salivary gland and Charlie had to be put on antibiotics. 80% reimbursement.

Best Pet Insurance Available...Hands Down!!

Unfortunately, I have had more than a few mishaps within the first 2 years of being a 1st time pet dad...some of them major injuries to my puppy. Healthy Paws has been nothing short of amazing and has given me the piece of mine to never hesitate to make sure my dog receives the best possible medical care available. I recommend Healthy Paws to every pet parent at the vet, dog park, apartment community...literally every chance I get. One of the best pet parent decisions I could have made and will certainly open a new policy if I decide to ever get another pet.

Excellent decision

I have two dachshunds and they are notorious for back problems. I purchased the medium coverage plan for both of them and it has come through for me on several occassions. My 6 year old already has back issues and they have covered all the treatments. My 12 year had infected teeth and had to have surgery, once again they covered all of it. Best thing I ever invested in!

Truly a Life Saver

Embrace is truly a life saver. Our 5 year pointer mix, Zelda developed sever arthritis and degenerative disc disease in her spine at a very young age. She has been a very active and happy dog and we had to begin treating her with pain meds over a year ago. Her condition has worsen and our vet suggested stem cell therapy. I'll be honest, when I agreed to try this therapy I didn't expect Embrace to cover the cost. I submitted the claim but was emotional prepared to have them deny the claim. I was stunned speechless when I got the email that the treatment was covered. This therapy has already made an incredible difference in Zelda's mobility and pain levels. Embrace has been incredible for and I am very thankful and so is my girl, Zelda.

Awesome!

My dog Chance was hit by a car 7 months ago and had to have an surgery then to repair a fracture and luxating tarsal joint. 6 weeks post-op the plate placed to repair the damages became severely infected and needed to be removed. The problem was, the plate could not be removed until the joint was stable on its own or until he was healthy. 7 months later, Chance had his second surgery. Both surgeries were covered by Trupanion and both times they got back to me almost immediately to say I was approved. When I had called with questions I got wonderful customer service. Chance is now doing wonderful!

Long Overdue Review(s)

I'm embarrassed how long it has taken for me to write this review but after submitting our 2nd large claim, I knew I had to finally do it. We've been a client since June 2013 after extensively comparing other insurance companies. In May 2014, our lab mix (7 at the time) needed a $3000 TTA knee surgery. Healthy Paws was great and was able to tell me prior to the surgery that this would be covered. Within a week of submitting my claim, we received our check and proved there were no hidden fees or excluded coverage. Funny story....about 2 months prior to our dog's knee surgery and our first claim, my husband wanted to cancel our pet insurance since he wanted to cut back on the budget. I talked him into keeping it for a little longer and we are both glad we did. He now recommends Healthy Paws to his friends. Fast forward to July 2015 and our dog had sudden neck/back pain and could barely move. I had a feeling we'd need to get X-rays and a possible MRI to diagnose the problem and was nervous about the cost but also hated seeing our dog in pain. I called Healthy Paws and they were quick to respond and confirmed that X-rays,MRI, surgery, etc would all be covered. We took our dog into the ER and then they sent him to a specialist for MRI. The bills for over $4600 were quickly reimbursed. To date, Healthy Paws has reimbursed us over $7600. Even with our $50/monthly coverage, we are net positive with our investment. My only regret is that we didn't get this earlier so our dog could qualify for the hip dysplasia coverage.

OMG! I wish Embrace would cover ME!

Embrace insurance is so good that whenever I see someone on the street with a puppy or young dog I ask if they have pet insurance. We had very mediocre insurance for our first dog. It just didn't cover much and every procedure had a really low limit. We're now on our 4th dog. She's a very active 14 month old lab mix rescue sweetie. She's crazy, impulsive and very high energy. She's really well trained but we still seem to be at the vet at least 2x a month lately. The most recent visit was because she ate part of a toy while with a dog sitter. She required emergency surgery when it lodged in her stomach and Embrace came thru for us very quickly with a reimbursement check. Two days ago she had a gash on her foot from playing fetch in our yard that required stitches. Embrace has paid a 80% on every single claim we've made. We are not wealthy people and would not be able to afford this dog without Embrace. Really. Get it. Now.
