Horrible Not worth the money unless you buy it…
Not worth the money unless you buy it the day of birth of you dog. That’s because if you don’t it will be denied because of pre existing conditions. I bought policy at 1 year and the have only paid a very small amount of a claim early just to make you think wow they paid that. But now my dog had an ear infection and they denied fir pre existing condition because he had one before policy was purchased. What a crock of bull, so the rest of his life they will never pay for ear infection because he had one before I bought policy. Has spring allergies needs medicine DENIED he had allergies before I bought policy. I have spent over $800 more to have insurance when I could have used that money to pay vet and been ahead in out of pocket. What a waste of time and money not to mention it takes a month to even look at claim. I canceled immediately after last claim NOT PAID for ear infection. Ridiculous 100% do not recommend unless maybe you buy it the day of birth but I’m sure they would find a way to not pay.

The best insurance I can ever ask for. They helped me so much with my cat’s vet visit and offered efficient reimbursement. Their customer service is just superior and passionate. Would not go for any other company than Trupanion:)

PEACE OF MIND…
PEACE OF MIND… My adopted cat Le Cowboy had 3 incidences of urinary crystals. We all know that can be life threatening but I knew I had caught the signs early enough to make a difference. Nonetheless, he still had to be hospitalized for 2 and 3 overnight stay$. Trupanion immediately responded to the hospital confirming coverage. I had enough worrying about my boy that I didn’t need to worry about how I was going to cover the 4 figure tab. Thanks Trupanion -I COULDN’T HAVE PAID IT WITHOUT YOU!

Trupanion helped me in a pinch
Trupanion helped cover the expenses of my cat when she got very sick and needed to be hospitalized for a week. I immediately signed up my other cat after this experience, and though I have not needed to submit a claim since, I have peace of mind knowing they’ve got my back if something were to arise. Vet expenses are only going up from here on out in my opinion…

Since getting my shih tzu puppy and researching pet insurance I chose Trupanion because of the great rates and reviews on line. They had the coverage I was looking for. I have not had to use it yet but I’m sure I will at some point and I trust that it will be easy to put in a claim.

Pet insurance for Mischief
I have not had to use Mischief's insurance with Trupanion yet, thank heavens. For me it's a comfort level knowing it's there should it be needed. Living on a budget doesn't allow for many big hiccups and vet bills are just as expensive as our medical bills. I've had the insurance 6+ years. The only issue I have with Trupanion is the rates are increasing at a pretty decent rate "each" year. I will be paying the same as I paid for my 14 year old within 2 years and she will be half the age. Trupanion says their rates are based on usage in the "area", not my particular usage. If the rates get too high, I will be forced to cancel being on a retired budget there isn't room for increases. This would be a sad day and to think all the years paid in completely lost. I've thought about putting the monthly debt into an account to hold for the day it might be needed for Mischief as a work around to paying Trupanion additional increases.
