Embrace has been extremely helpful with all claims and has paid fairly and promptly. My only regret is that I did not select a higher limit when I enrolled my dog -- so I would suggest pet parents to go for the $10,000 or more figure because if you try to change it later, they have to write the policy all over again and if your pet has had any vet bills - in my case it was for diarrhea -- it was considered a pre-existing condition and not covered. So my pup has to go for a year w/o any diarrhea claims in order to have it re-evaluated and then I can increase my limits. So get higher limits. My other suggestion is that they cover laparoscopic neuters. In my case my pup was cryptorchid and I had to neuter him at 21 mos. I would not have otherwise, and it was a condition that was causing him abdominal upsets, yet because it was a neuter, it was only covered as part of the wellness rider, which covers a lot of other things as well, i.e.shots. I chose the $200 wellness add-on and basically got what was left of the $200 for a surgical procedure that cost over $1000. Otherwise it is a very good company and I would highly recommend it.

Veterinarian treatment can be very expensive. As I did not have insurance with my border collie, whom I spent an enormous amount of money on veterinarian emergency bills. I decided to purchase pet insurance with Trupanion for my multipoo. Recently my multipoo injured her knee (cranial cruciate ligament rupture). The claims were put through to Trupanion by my vet and the veterinarian emergency hospital. There was no fuss and no drama from Trupanion and the claim was paid within days. I am so thankful for Trupanion and recommend it to anyone who has a pet. Premiums are a small payment per month but in the long run so worth it. Thank you Trupanion.

My Min Pin had a Blockage and needed surgery . Pets Best handled the claim very fast and reimbursed me within a week . So Thankful again .

wish I had known about Embrace Pet Insurance before this. With a small company that is not a corporate giant really gets bonus points with me. Having the ability to go to any vet, anywhere, no networks, this insurance is better than my own healthcare. If I had know about it, we could have saved thousands, yes thousands, on my mother in law's dogs care. Bandit was allergic to almost everything and allergy testing is very expensive. Embrace would have covered it all. I also really love every the fact that before you buy you can have a free medical history review, so if there is a pre-existing condition that won't be covered you know up front.
