Great service and coverage but terrible price hikes!
We lost our mastiff after 5 yrs. cost started at $65 and ended at $151 a month! $9 annual price hikes reasonable but then $30 hikes especially during covid! They paid all the claims timely. Now our new Frenchy would only have 70% instead of 90% coverage so on to a new one

Total Scam
Your Insurance and Coverage is a total scam. I am backing up with Data. So far my monthly payment for Trupanion = $2,978.02 Total Claim Amount Filed =$4,167.04 Total Amount Received = $959.31 Going by the data - I paid $2000 more to Trupanion. This is not trupanion - you should be called 'Scampanion'.

Trupanion cares about your furbaby family!
Trupanion has the best customer service! During these times, if you need more time to pay your monthly charges, they’ll work with you. I would have given 5 stars, but my only issue is that they don’t cover wellness visits, exams, teeth cleaning. I’ve checked out what’s on the market & many insurance companies cover those. I hope that Trupanion reconsiders the coverage to remain competitive.

DONT PURCHASE THIS INSURANCE
DONT PURCHASE THIS INSURANCE. Buy lemonade pet insurance if you want an insurance that will cover your pet. I bought figo and learn from my big mistake don't buy it. My puppy broke his leg and I was denied the claim because they stated this was a preexisting condition. REALLY I would think a puppy breaking there leg would be an accident which under there policy is suppose to be covered. You have to wait 6 month for any Orthopedic coverage unless you have your vet sign a waiver within 30 days which I was able to do within 31 days. In my city vets are 1 month booked out so I was able to get it done in 31 days and that was not eligible. Smh This insurance company is a joke, stay away at all cost. I will make sure everyone knows about my experience. Stay away from this company at all cost trust me!

I have had a policy for over a year. Every claim has been denied. When I inquire as to why they reply that they needed more info and had contacted my vet NUMEROUS times with no result. My vet told me they had only one request when I first took out the policy but nothing since then. When I filled out a survey they asked about any concerns. I asked why they did not contact me if they had no success reaching my vet - no response. This is unacceptable. My claims are for meds that they say are covered, They also claim that only 10% of claims need more info from vet. I have wasted over $800. I wonder if they will contact me after this review?

Easy claim process and quick reimbursement
I've had Healthy Paws for my Frenchie since I brought him home as a puppy. I found their rates to be very competitive and their plans comprehensive. Healthy Paws gets high marks for ease of making claims, it literally takes minutes on the app, as well as very timely reimbursements, sometimes same day for small claims. Recently my Frenchie had surgery for a disk herniation which was our first large claim. HP reviewed it and the check was sent 3 weeks later, thus I was very pleased with their responsiveness. They even emailed me checking on how he was recovering. The only thing is my Frenchie will be 6 years old, and there were some significant premium rate increases in the last couple years, and I'm concerned it will happen again after the recent large claim. It is quite possible that this is common with many pet insurance plans, so something to consider.
