We have two dogs with Trupanion, originally we were with Petsecure and were not happy and changed to Trupanion. They are available 24 hours a day, all customer service people are genuinely concerned for you pet. In November our 3 year old Yellow Lab Beau ate a box of suppositories. I found him just as he was eating the last one. I immediately checked the internet to see if there could be ill effects and I did not find anything. About 2 days later, Beau would not eat his food (extremely unusual) and went outside and threw up. I immediately took him to the vet and was told to take him to a local animal hospital. Once there, they took blood and determined that his kidneys were shutting down (functioning at 25%). Beau ended up spending 5 nights and 6 days in the hospital and a few follow ups at out vet and Beau is back to normal. I could not be any happier with Embrace. They have paid all the bills(which were rather large) per our policy and paid them in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend Embrace to anyone considering purchasing pet insurance. All of this has been possible because of Trupanion's help. They have been there every step of the way and provided payment on the claim within 10 days at the most. Their help and support made the whole situation easy in a stressful time. I have been a customer for 7+ years and as long as I have pets I will continue to be a customer. My dog chase just turned 5 years old and approx 2 weeks later to my dismay my dog was not feeling well. He was initially diagnosed with diabetes and the next day pancreatitis and ketoacidosis. Chase had to go to a hospital 2 1/2 hrs away to get him the proper treatment. He was in ICU where he had 24hr care. He was able to come home after 4 days (Christmas Eve). I am ever so grateful for having healthy paws insurance for him. It took me quite some time to find an insurance company that I thought would be good if I ever needed it. i just never imagined anything like this would happen. The next day while my dog was back at the vet I put in a claim for his diagnosis of diabetes, but who knew he would be in ICU this same day. After what was going on with my dog and the holidays and awaiting paperwork from ER hospital I put in yet more claims which was probably over $5000. After getting all my paperwork from vets and hospitals my claim was processed quicker than I thought. Healthy paws I really thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me keep my dog in better health. If it weren't for this great insurance I know for a fact my dog would not have had a chance to continue life.
