Very disappointed with service provided…
Very disappointed with service provided by Trupanion thus far. Declining claims on a perfectly healthy puppy due to frustratingly first vet visit the first day I had him. which he was determined perfectly healthy. The pre existing condition is a joke. If you get Trupanion make sure to get it a month before your pet or don’t take them for anything or they will use it against you for the rest of the time. Even if your pet is 100% healthy.

Trustworthy and Understanding
I had called several pet insurance agencies for information and pricing and waited on hold for at least 5 minutes with each before a message service played. With Prudent Pet my call was answered by an actual person immediately. This was the first good sign. Monica, the agent assisting me, was fantastic. She was very informative, patient and understanding. She provided different policy limitations and pricing to find a plan that would best suit our financial and pet wellness needs and did so without any pushiness but with respect and understanding. Monica was genuine and relatable and I’m confident in choosing Prudent Pet, not only for their customer service but for their policy inclusions, ease of access and transparency.

Waste of Your Money
Waste of Your Money Pets Best is like any other insurance company, it is designed to take as much of your money while paying out for as few services as possible. Items like routine check ups, vaccinations, etc. are not covered and good luck trying to convince them that any of the services you receive at the vet are either. You are better off trying with another insurance company.

Best Pet Insurance Available
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has been the best thing I have ever purchased for my dogs. I have 4 dogs (all covered through Healthy Paws) and have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this pet insurance. The claims submittal is extremely easy (only have to submit a picture of the invoice). The processing of claims and reimbursement is extremely quick (within a few days max). I would not have been able to give my dogs the best veterinary care they need if I did not have a policy with Healthy Paws. I have so many examples. But just a few: My one German Shepherd has recurring perianal fistulas. We have been through the ringer with this. Antibiotics, steroids, laser treatments, and finally immunosuppressants (Atopica). This medication is EXTREMELY expensive. Healthy Paws has covered all of these different treatments, including the expensive medication (approximately $345 per month). There would be no way I could cover this cost myself. My other German Shepherd was severe hip dysplasia. Since she was covered prior to turning 6 years old and did not show symptoms of hip problems within the first year of coverage, Healthy Paws has been a life saver for my poor pup. For the past few years, she has shown extreme pain and we started anti-inflammatories (Galliprant) as well as gabapentin to relieve some of her pain. This past year (at age 8), we performed x-rays and my vet said if we do not intervene with more invasive techniques, she would not see my dog making it through the next year. We were referred to an orthopedic surgeon for possible total hip replacement surgery. We decided to try the gold standard and replace her right hip on December 16th, 2020. The cost was astronomical (almost 5 figures). I submitted my claim to Healthy Paws on the day she was released from the hospital (December 18th). Due to the upcoming holidays and extensive medical records, there was a bit of lag between submitting and being reimbursed. But the first week in January, I was reimbursed 90% (per my policy option) of the total cost of the surgery. Healthy Paws literally saved my dogs life. Every person who asks me about pet insurance hears raving reviews of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. Even anyone who talks to me about veterinary bills or upcoming adoptions will also receive a long list of why pet insurance is so important and why Healthy Paws should be their choice of insurance. I would not insure my pets through any other company other than them.

This company is a scam
This company is a scam! Not only do they take a super long time to process a claim they come up with any excuse to refuse your claim. I have a 1 year old puppy at the time 10 month who is healthy we got insurance for him in may in June he had a small growth on his back leg that required medical attention when I submitted the claim let’s best stated that it was a previous issue he had never been treated for it and I provided all the medical records a 10 month puppy could have… I am still here waiting for a response 3 months later this is a scam don’t waste your hard earned money!

My first claim for my puppy's injury…
My first claim for my puppy's injury was denied because they claimed it was preventative care and I didn't have the examination add-on to my injury/illness plan. My puppy injured her paw outside and was bleeding all over the kitchen and house floors and it was an urgent care/emergency vet visit. I guess it is better that I find out early that they find bull crap reasons to not reimburse me than for me to pay into the insurance for a year or more and be denied future claims. Save your money and find a better pet insurance company to invest into your pet.
