BUYER BEWARE, DOES NOT COVER WHAT YOU EXPECT!

I've lost hundreds of dollars in premiums for "coverage" before finding out that Healthy Paws doesn't really cover much of anything. Signed up after seeing their deceptive sales and marketing material and website, imagining that normal things (exam to see if something was wrong with my dog, heartworm exam, rabies vaccinations, etc.) were not covered. NONE OF IT!!! Yes, when you receive the welcome email for being a new member, there is a small link at the BOTTOM of the email stating that you can optionally click to check other information on the EXTENSIVE list of exclusions. Do NOT purchase this "insurance" if you have any expectation of coverage for normal care. (Though they do seem to cover accidents) Otherwise, you are just going to be sending money to their premium collection service (really hard to even call this insurance!!!) I am also going to be tagging other reviews here. Not spamming, but I think people should know the truth about Healthy Paws. I see AT LEAST dozens (if not 100+?) of other customers of Healthy Paws that have written of the same experience, having been tricked by deceptive business practices here

Its comforting to know we are covered.

When those unexpected illnesses or emergencies arise, it is nice to know we are covered for the visits and the medications

excellent service

my dog had emergency surgery after a blockage was discovered in her stomach. the surgery and after care was over three thousand dollars. my claim was processed quickly and i received a check in a couple of weeks. no back and forth, not begging for something to be covered, embrace just paid it. i'm super grateful and cannot speak highly enough about how great the communication was and how promptly everything was handled.

One of the Smartest Things I've Ever Done!

I adopted my first rescue in December 2014. she was 1 1/2 years old Puggle at that time. When I took her to the vet for a check-up, the clinic suggested that I consider Embrace Pet Insurance. I did and have not regretted that decision for one moment! Fortunately she has been a healthy little girl. In August 2015 I adopted a second rescue. Another little girl, a Beagle mix, 2 1/2 years old. We discovered that this little girl had a broken canine tooth and several other fractured teeth. She had to have a root canal on the canine tooth and three fractured teeth pulled. The cost of this dental work was over $1000.00. Embrace pet insurance reimbursed me well over half of the amount for the dental work. This past August my second rescue (the same little girl) developed a bone infection in one of her toes on a hind paw. The infected toe had to be amputated. The total cost of her treatment was well over $1300.00. Again Embrace Pet Insurance was there and reimbursed me almost the total cost of her treatments. I would never, ever consider having a pet without pet insurance and my pet insurance of choice is Embrace!!

Best decision ever!

We have a Dobby/Shepard mix and he is wild! When he was almost 1 year, I changed his insurance over to Embrace. You would think being young that's we would have no issues, right? Well, appearantly our boy like to injury him and has tried mushrooms. Embrace was fabulous! No issues what so ever! They took care of the claims in a timely manner and most importantly, they have not cancelled is! Lol! Thank you, Embrace for always being there and giving us a peace of mind.

A good thing to have.

I have ASPCA pet insurance on my 7 yr old golden. I am very glad I had this insurance this year. My dog had a serious upper respiratory infection, that resulted in large vet bills. Claims were easy to submit and were processed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the full cost of certain treatments were not covered and some supportive treatments were not covered, such as probiotics during an extended course of antibiotics. I have and do recommend that people get this pet insurance due to the ever growing cost of pet care.

Permanent conditions are unwarranted & unfounded.

When my dog had back surgery 5 years ago and was then considered a permanent condition, which would not be covered. But now he had surgery on his neck, not his back and of course you state he is not covered for the same reason. I believe you stretched the condition to your own likeness and for that reason I am stopping insurance on both Taylor and Trudy. I am entitled for a full refund paying monthly for the past 5 years on both dogs and am very displeased with the unfair practices and polices to fit your needs and purpose. Very disatisified with your insurance policy and reasoning behind your decision.
