We could not be more pleased

We have had to file 21 claims over the past 3 1/2 years on our German Shepherd, Cesila, for intestinal issues and skin issues. Embrace has without exception processed our claims speedily and in full accordance with their policy. We are extremely pleased with the company's efficiency and courteous manner.

Highly recommend this insurance

I am a small animal veterinarian and routinely recommend that owners purchase insurance for their pets. My personal experience as a pet owner has been nothing but positive with Embrace. As a disclaimer, I do not receive a discount, and I am not an employee of Embrace. I routinely recommend that owners look into Embrace insurance for their pets, and will continue to use Embrace for my own pets.

Don't do it!!! SCAM

Two lets later. Terrible company after bought out by 24 Pet Watch. They DOUBLED my premium in one month. They will find any excuse not to pay when you submit a claim. The biggest scam. They will continuously change your policy, your rates and your deductible... You stay because you figure you have invested for this long already. DON'T buy a policy from this SCAM! Instead put $50-100 away a month in a savings account! His company needs to be regulated. I plan to take my complaints to as many consumer protection organizations as possible. I have lost over $6,000 on this total and complete SCAM. Always with some reason to not pay any claim!

This insurance is not what you think

Don’t expect this to work like any other insurance that you are familiar with. Petfirst has a 90 day policy for claims so if you are a busy person and you slack off you will lose your money. I couldn’t print their claim form for some reason even though I tried 3 applications to do so. Everything else would print including other pdfs I experimented with from other websites. They claimed it was my computer and or printer. I contacted the Arizona Department of Insurance and they told me they were unaware of any other insurance that has a 90 day claim window. The statute of limitations here in Arizona is 2 years. For Petfirst it doesn’t matter if your pet was under policy when the accident happened, they won’t pay. I was stupid in not reading the fine print. This was not something that I remember them telling me when I purchased the policy. But if you pay them you automatically agree to the terms and you’ll be screwed if you aren’t fast. And even if you are fast they will screw you. They lost a claim I made, this time within the 90 day period. They claimed they never received it. The vet had proof of submitting within the 90 day period so we resubmitted it. Petfirst has refused to respond to the claim. They won’t return phone calls. I have been patient for several weeks. Meanwhile they continue to collect my premiums. The deductible is not per year but PER INCIDENT. So unless you have a big expensive one time vet bill this insurance is not worth it. Will they pay out under those conditions? I really don’t know but I certainly don’t trust these people to honor their legal obligations unless it serves their purposes. My dog was having trouble with constipation. I called up a guy name Kevin who is high in the organization and supposed to be one of their trouble shooters. He assured me that given my policy that there was no reason they would not pay on this claim. So I submitted the claim and of course they did not pay. Repeated requests to re-evaluate the claim have fallen through. One thing that may fool you about this company is how nice they are. Their employees are well trained and probably don’t realize what a crooked company they are working for. My dog has had something like $1000-1200 in legitimate claims since being under policy. Petfirst has returned $23. Now I am faced with filing complaints through the Arizona Insurance Dept. of Insurance. Even if I win (and when does the consumer ever win?) I will only be less than $30 or

Thumbs ALL the way up!

I have had nothing but the best experience with Healthy Paws. I actually came from a different pet insurance that wouldn't cover anything. Healthy Paws has been there with me every step of the way and always around to answer questions. I am one of the "lucky" owners that has had an orthopedic nightmare of a dog and Healthy Paws has been right by my side. I would never change to a different pet insurance and tell all my friends about how easy Healthy Paws has made a very stressful event. Thank you Healthy Paws!

An astonishingly caring and forthright company

I only wish my family's health insurance was so wonderful. Our lovely mastiff Jeff suffered serious health problems all his too-short life, and Healthy Paws stood by us every step of the way. Jeff was with us for under six years, and in that time we submitted more than 80 claims to Healthy Paws. Just this past summer, we had more than $40,000 in claims. Each and every time, from the first claim to the last, Healthy Paws paid promptly, without ever questioning a single procedure, test, or specialist's visit. Just as impressive, the payments were often accompanied by sincere inquiries into how Jeff was progressing and heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery. When Jeff passed away earlier this month, we received a remarkably gracious condolence message from Healthy Paws. We miss our Jeff terribly, but take comfort in knowing that we did everything possible to try to save him, with the full and unwavering support of Healthy Paws. We simply can't imagine any insurance company being more caring or more fair.

Thankyou for your speedy claim service!

I have had Healthy Paws pet insurance for my dog Russell for three years. The service I have received from them over this period has been top notch. Fast claims, friendly staff and no questions asked handling of my claims. The last check that I received from healthy Paws was for over $9000. I don't know what I would have done without Healthy Paws.

Great insurance for your pet!!!

Recently, our dog broke her leg. The amount we had to pay for her surgery and all her medical treatment was above $3000. We submitted a claim to Pet First. The process to do this was relatively easy and the claim was processed fairly quickly and Pet First reimbursed us 90% of our expenses after a $250 deductible. I have such a peace of mind knowing that Pet First is there when we need them.
