Not completely satisfied, could be better.
Takes about 25-30 days before you’re reimbursed for claims. Coverage is ok, not exceptional. Currently looking for better coverage for my toy poodle.

Misleading & Misrepresented Coverage
The people at Trupanion are great and friendly however the insurance misrepresents what they cover and is open to interpretation which is very confusing as a customer! One item they will not cover is behaviour based issues that happen prior to enrolment. For example - if you have a new puppy and they ingest things like chocolate and you go to the vet - they will consider this preexisting and not pay any claims for the life of the dog related to this. Which is ridiculous. Eating things that fall on the floor is normal puppy behaviour/normal dog behaviour. So now we’ve put a claim forward and it’s not covered even though the one instance, all we did was call the vet to ask what we should do and because it was noted in the file, it is considered preexisting. I would look elsewhere at other insurers and make sure you ask the right questions! We thought we had but clearly, we did not! Didn’t help that they basically state they cover almost everything…except when you actually need it.

Our dog Jo has an ongoing shoulder issue for almost 2 years Pets Best has been nothing but amazing in covering her claims. We’re not talking about a small claim either. Jo has a team of vets to try to sort out her lameness. I cannot thank PetsBest enough for making this such an easy process. Thanks PB Mike

Trupanion do really care. They are always there for me when Cooper is sick ❤️❤️🐾
Trupanion has always been there for me when Cooper got sick. I had the time to totally focus on my doodle and Trupanion were there in literally minutes to take away some of the pressure. I cannot say enough good about this Company. They are the top, the best in my dealings. Love you Trupanion! I feel I should add that no one is paying me for this report. It comes from my heart when you are dealing with a dog that will have this condition for his life you appreciate a Company like Trupanion!

It was quite easy to sign up. However, I was told I got the $30 off special, but when my email came, I w as charged the full amount without the $30 reduction. Please issue me a refund asap.

Very easy to follow step process, simple process to get a quote before signing up, I like that you offer 24/7 call in. The reason I chose Trupanion is because of the coverage for breeding dogs, I don’t breed but I don’t want to spay my dog until she is fully matured and I know accidents can happen no matter how diligent, and it is nice to have the peace of mind know she is covered if something were to happen in that aspect.
