The person I spoke with was patient and knowledgeable about the specific case, however I was highly disappointed in the resolution to our claim. The reasons our claim (ectopic ureter) were rejected were incredibly arbitrary (drinking too much water) and both our vet and trainer wrote letters of support that this shouldn't have been considered a preexisting condition for the purposes of the policy. (We had just rescued our second dog and he had some behavioral issues that were being addressed by a trainer, including over consumption of water.) Trupanion used vet notes where we mentioned that our new pup drank more water than our old pup, and sometimes urinated in the house, as the basis for rejection. We have policies for both of our dogs (and have had the other policy for 2+ years). We have only filed claims once before, but were under the deductible so have never once benefited from having the policy. This would have been the first time that we were eligible and it seemed like we immediately were excluded for the most arbitrary reason. It left a very unsatisfied reason regarding Trupanion and we are highly considering canceling our policy, as we don't have a good feeling about future interactions with the company.

I really like this insuarance company. It's very convenient that I can file a claim online at anytime. I can view my policy and track claims as well online. This company processes my claims very quickly and keeps me updated with the process. I haven't had any problems with them and I will continue to be a loyal customer. I had two dogs and one of my dogs passed alway. ASPCA was so kind that the called and left me a heartfelt voicemail that brought me to tears and helped me to cope with my dogs passing. I didn't think I would get over my dogs passing untill I hear that voicemail. And to this day, I still have that voicemail saved.

My dog Karma was adopted from the humane society about two years ago. At just 2 and a half we had a medical emergency that turned out to be pancreatitis. I already had pet health insurance and am so grateful for that. The claim process was easy and I love the fact that I got a call after about a month from ASPCA to see how she was doing. Pasoca is a 9 month old frenchie and full of energy. I decided to get him insurance because you never know. Best decision I've made. 2 weeks after I enrolled him with ASPCA, he hurt his eyes by scratching it some how. I've only notice 2 days later only because it was really swollen and puffy. Took him in and it had became an corneal ulcer from him robing his paw on it so much. After that we had 2 emergency visits, surgery and many fallow ups. I submitted all my claims and whiting a week or week and a half latter my money was deposit back in my account. Haven't encounter any problems yet and I hope it will stay that way.

Our bulldog Jitsu is just a year old. He has already had a soft palate surgery and just recently he was admitted to the after hours emergency hospital for aspiration pneumonia. We are so thankful we purchased pet insurance. Healthy Paws has been very easy to work with and reimbursed us very quickly. Highly recommend.

I signed up with Embrace because my dog is getting older. They are excellent to work with and have processed my claims quickly and refunded me just as promptly. They are very easy to deal with and give a thorough explanation with each claim.

I was a little skeptical about getting pet insurance for my two dogs, whether or not it would pay off.
