Best Pet Insurance Ever!

Embrace has been wonderful in covering my active12 pound ball of energy! they have covered everything from yearly physicals to a foxtail in his nose to his sprained paw. Jax has had a rough year so far. All have been covered and the company has great communication throughout the claims process! We had a different pet insurance 20 years ago and it was horrible and we cancelled...Embrace has exceeded our expectations and gives us piece of mind knowing that Jax will be covered if disaster strikes.

Feeling conflicted

My sweet beagle girl of 12 years recently passed away from TCC, a form of cancer in the bladder. We have been with Pets Best for several years. First, the good....Pets Best has always reimbursed quickly (1 to 2 weeks, sometimes 3). I have never had a problem where I had to dispute a payout/claim. We were covered under their old plan where we have a $7000 per condition pay out. Pets Best paid out over $6000 for our girls care until she passed away. Their customer service has always been top notch. The bad...once our dogs became seniors, and Pets Best changed underwriter's our premiums sky rocketed. More than doubled. They claim it's due to rising costs and it's based on a review of location, veterinary costs rising. I don't buy it because vet costs did not more than double and no one else did either. I felt trapped because my girls had pre-existing conditions. I will say I took my younger pet and moved him to another insurance. When I asked to switch to the new insurance policies, I was told I could certainly do that but anything under the old policy, the old underwriter, would be considered pre-existing. That just made no sense to me. It's the same company. This is where I learned to find a strong insurance company that doesn't change underwriters. Pets Best have changed underwriters at least twice since I have been insured with them. Yes, they will work with you to lower your monthly premium but you sacrifice on coverage. We had to change to a $250 deductible (it was $100). At the end of the year, the price went up again, almost doubling. Once again, we had to sacrifice and increase the deductible to $500. I almost lowered the coverage to $2500 just because it was becoming so expensive. Thank God I didn't because less than a month of my policy renewal we found out my girl had cancer. I was once a supporter of Pets Best. It appears their insurance is different now and maybe it's better but under our policy, there were several breed, hereditary exclusions and they don't cover holistic treatment. How I want to be a Pets Best supporter. In terms of customer service, and claim turn around, I have had nothing but great service. However, because of change in underwriters and my premiums more than doubling (we are talking hundreds of dollars per pet...two years in a row), I can no longer recommend Pets Best. I still have one more pet insured with them and once she passes on, I will move on. It really is too bad because I want to

Choose Healthy Paws!

Healthy paws is an excellent choice. I adopted my dog about four months ago and three months after adopting her she needed massive spinal surgery because she had begun going paralyzed in her hind legs. I am so happy I choose healthy paws as my insurance upon adopting her. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was extremely helpful and they processed my claim incredibly quickly. I received the check for my reimbursement just one week after the surgery. A week or two after the surgery they even emailed me checking up on my dog to see how she was feeling. My experience with healthy paws has been a great one, and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you healthy paws!

Peace of MInd for my dog's health

WHile I hope to never have to use my pet insurance, I am so glad a friend recommended Embrace to me when my dog was a puppy. At 3 1/2 he crashed into another dog and seriously strained his Iliopsoas muscle. Embrace covered everything - emergency vet, surgical doc, Physical Therapy, and Chiropractic. I just renewed - my dog is nearly 4 yrs old - and my premiums are still under $300/yr. Worth every penny to know I do not ever have to choose between my dog's health (or life) and my wallet. Also - whenever I have called, staff has been very helpful and responsive.

DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY

I had to file a formal complaint with the MD Insurance Commission and the Commission is currently investigating 24Petwach. Read the other reviews...where there is smoke, there is fire. I believe they act in BAD FAITH. Their Facebook page comments section was nothing but complaints from dissatisfied customers. When I told them this, the comments all disappeared. If you are having problems with this company write/call your home state's Insurance Commission. They do business in all 50 states and therefore must comply with the insurance laws of all states. Do not get involved with these people...they are very efficient at taking your money every month, but that is where their efficiency ends!!! Once they have your money, they drag their feet on claims, offer some of the worst customer service I have ever seen, and generally are rude, arrogant and really don't care about your animals or you. They move on claims only when the BBB or a government regulatory agency gets involved.

Having Embrace pet insurance has been very helpful in managing large vet expenses for my dog. Their customer service has been great and their coverage of claims has been fair and without any surprises.

Policy Renewal brings 18.8% Monthly Increase

I have had PetFirst Pet Insurance for my 2 dogs since year 1 and the cost has risen each renewal. Started out as low as $33 per month each dog and at year 6 its was $50.33 for each dog. This renewal brought an 18.8% increase for each dog and now the monthly premium each is $62. I have never used the insurance for an illness as the one time I needed it, they did not cover it. Denied Denied Denied. I am looking at other insurance carriers out there that my Vet recommended as they pay the Vet directly and you get more for your buck than with this ridiculous insurance.
