Great communication

We have been fortunate to never have to put in a major claim as of yet so I cannot comment on that process, although while reading reviews it would seem people are highly satisfied with the process, albeit slower than they would like. I am here to comment on the process of signing up for the insurance and then keeping up to date with any changes and having them answer any questions that I may have. I have to say the process has been very easy, informative and absolutely not "pushy" for any up sells, or anything else for that matter. They simply answer your questions and state the facts and help you with your needs and requests. Simple. They also send a great package when you sign up that is very informative. All the "extras" you get are very clearly outlined and marketed to you (rather than hidden in small font somewhere for you to forget). We get email updates as required and everything is written out in plain English, very clearly and also with a fun and positive undertone, not to mention a bit of humour with, for example, the owner signing off his emails as "Top Dog". Based on non-claim related communication and customer service alone, I would not hesitate to recommend Pets Plus Us. I should mention that I did a full and extensive review or all Canadian pet insurances (took me a good month) with many comparison tables and lots of research. After reviewing, I selected Pets Plus Us based in the best value for price and also based on customer reviews for servicing claims.

Don't bother with Trupanion

After waiting a very long time and several phone calls, we were told no payment would be provided for this claim. Because they call it a "new" problem, the deductible applied and then they simply don't cover the remainder... For one reason or another. We are new and very unhappy so far. Why bother if they have an excuse for everything? Not sure we will continue.

Doesn't cover much

Will be looking for another insurance company. VIP Pet Insurance has a much better payout. I submitted claims after I switched and they paid out everything, none of this your dog can't have the same illness in a one year period! That's just wrong.

BIGGEST SCAM EVER

If your pet gets lost and ends up at the pound or vet either because someone takes them to turn them in other animal control gets them, they will get scanned and 24 hour pet watch will call you. No matter if you have a membership or not. But if you change your number or they have the wrong info, like they have for me, you have to get a membership to change anything on there. So even tho they are going to do the same thing, contact you, whether you have a membership or not if it's the wrong info your out of luck! Sounds like a scam to me!

Resolving a kink

For some reason, the statements don't get faxed completely or effectively when we file a claim. Recently we had a medication renewed for our dog Daphne and there was a snafu over the statement getting faxed from our vet's office. Working with Embracers on the chat line and later via email the issue was resolved, and quickly. The money appeared in our checking account very soon after.

Every Claim Rejected

Originally had Purina's insurance, that was then bought by 24 Pet Watch. For a while they were OK, but the last few visits, which were just the annual exams/vaccinations (covered under our plan) have been a nightmare. It's blatantly obvious they simply don't want to pay legitimate claims. They state that information that's on the claim isn't, ask for entire medical histories from the vet (which I'm sure the vet's office is thrilled with) for a simple vaccination claim... It's ridiculous. Phone support is horrible - rude and contradictory. Currently dealing with a new scam with them which is that the claim is filed in the 90 day window, but their requests for extra info come after the 90 days, and then they deny the claim for being late... Scammers. Looking for new insurance then issuing a chargeback on my card if this isn't resolved properly.

Great insurence

I love having ASPCA pet insurence for my puppy Tyson who is sadly always having a issue ... The insurence helps a lot and cover most of our emergency visits .. They don't cover mush towards wellness tho witch i pay an extra I believe 10 15 dollars a month for and they don't put much towards nutering also witch is a big bummer but comparing this insurence to others it blows them away this was the lowest monthly plan I found and believe me I shopped around it's easy to send claims in and it takes about 3 weeks for you to get your money back but they put it right back into your account and the phone servos if you have have a question or a problem they are so kind and very helpful !!!!!

Extremely Satisfied Member

ASPCA Pet Insurance has been more than fair and expeditious in paying claims on my dog. Claims submissions were fast and easy, and I appreciated being notified as the claim moved through the process.
