Fast and Friendly!

I have always carried ASPCA Pet Insurance on my dogs ever since I learned bout their insurance. This gives me peace of mind for my dear "children". I recently filed a claim after taking my 13 year old female lab mix (April) to the vet. The outcome was good for my little girl. Thank goodness! But your question is: How was the insurance coverage? I filed the claim and received reimbursement within a couple of weeks. The process was quick and efficient. I simply scanned in a copy of my vet's invoice and clicked a few buttons to file the claim. It was very easy. Afterwards I was very impressed that a kind staff member from ASPCA Pet Insurance called to check on April. He was very sincere and kind. I do not think he was just "doing his job" and fulfilling a duty. I was very pleased. I do not make a lot of endorsements, however I recommend ASPCA Pet Insurance to my friends. I hope you find this insurance to meet your needs as well. Thank you!

Just awful

Submitted a claim by fax and email on 3/31/2016. Called them on 4/17/206 because they had not even *acknowledged* by email or letter that I had even filed the claim, let alone paid it. After a lengthy wait time on hold, I was told that sure enough they had received the claim, but just hadn't gotten around to responding to it. They told me on the phone that they had everything they needed to process the claim but had 60 days to pay and 60 days had not run. When I pointed out that other insurance companies paid within the week, they said they were 'updating their technology' but that the policy allowed for them to take 60 days. But then another 40 days went by with no payment. On 5/25/2016 they sent a letter claiming that they didn't have what they needed to process the claim, despite telling me they did when I called them, so they 'were unable to respond' to the claim. I followed up by phone and was told that the 'unable to respond' letter was actually a denial and I had to request 'reassessment', which would take another 30 days and requires that my veterinarian submit a letter on vet hospital letterhead with a reason for reassessment, among other things. The strategy of this place is to acquire customers by comping new pet owners for a month or two, and then delaying payment on any claims as long as possible (and attaching as many conditions to payment as possible), in the hope that policyholders abandon claims and they will never have to pay out. I don't think you could find a worse pet insurance company if you tried.

Great piece of mind

We decided to choose Healthy Paws after an extensive online search. At the time our French Bulldog was healthy and we were not sure it was worth it to spend the monthly money. She is currently 4 years old and had a benign cyst removed from her face. The insurance policy covered the policy at 90% minus the deductible. The claim process was very easy and fast to use. Only 6 weeks later our dog had an accident in the park that resulted in her breaking her leg. It was a very scary and stressful time but I honestly felt some relief on our way to the hospital knowing that we didn’t have to worry about how to pay for such an expensive injury. As soon as we had the hospital bill in hand I submitted the claim and it was processed in just a few days. This year alone she would have cost us over $7000 but we only had to pay 10% of that! Talk about piece of mind! And I even received an email checking in on Kiwi a few days after her surgery. I was very happy with the level of care and service that we received. I am now the biggest advocate of pet insurance!

Excellence service !

We've had Pets Best insurance coverage for our Maltese since she was a puppy. Claims have always been extremely easy to submit, quickly and fairly processed and paid in a timely manner. I only wish our family's healthcare insurance coverage was this good.

Thankful for ASPCA Insurance

Jack will be 7 yrs old in December. He is a Bichon Frise/Poodle. What a WONDERFUL addition to my home. I am 69 yrs old and THIS IS MY FIRST DOG (my first pet)! So like my first child I want to take good care of him. I knew I should have health insurance for him so contacted ASPCA and it was an excellent choice. I hope not to HAVE TO MAKE CLAIMS but it does happen and they are great about letting you know how the process is proceeding.

Coverage for Niki's torn ACL

I am very appreciative to ASPCA Pet Insurance for their help with this. My beloved puppydog - Niki - had torn her ACL, and the surgery and meds cost me a ton. They paid for most of the cost, and considering I am financially challenged at the moment, was extremely helpful. They also called me to find out how Niki was doing. Previously, Zak had a problem with his bowels - the canine version of IBS - and they have coverd all his meds. These guys are great.

Short and sweet. Trupanion is everything you need, want and expect in a pet insurance company. They have the best most transparent coverage, and the best claims process. Timely payouts, no surprises, just what everyone needs.

ASPCA Insurance has been a life saver

My pup has a lot of health problems, and the diagnostic testing and doctor visits have been very costly. I couldn't afford it without this insurance. Our local paper recently had an article listing expenses people really don't need to incur - and pet insurance was on the list. That article was so wrong.
