Do NOT recommend

Unfortunately, our claims experience with Embrace has been less than satisfactory as every claim we submit, despite multiple emails, written justifications, letters from the vet, invoices etc--they have denied any claim over $200. Embrace continues to allege that a mass from three years ago is related to a new mass. Embrace has denied this claim entirely (over $3,000) We are appealing with the hopes that statements from a veterinary oncologist and our vet reiterating that the two masses are unrelated -- will be enough.

Disgusted

I drove 1100 miles round trip to adopt a put from a rescue. It was very dark when I got her and it was not until later I noticed she had ticks. On arrival home she exhibited limping on all of her legs as well as a fever. I took her to the vet right away. I provided this company with ALL of the records and suspected diagnosis with a bill of $99.00 The claim was quickly denied. I disagreed with this but of course they still denied it , it was a gift insurance after all that came with my pup .

Linear blockage stomach & Intestine

Our little 14 month old puppy started vomiting uncontrollably. After x-rays, emergency ultrasound, fluids, medications etc., etc., and a total of 1 week in ICU including a surgery…. She now is on the mend and doing great! She has about a 5 inch ‘battle scar’ to show for her decision to swallow pieces of a nylabone chew toy. This episode started on a Saturday morning, our vet off so off to the 24 hour emergency hospital. It was so nice knowing she had the best care and we did not have to worry about the pet bills breaking the bank, because of our Healthy Paws Pet Insurance policy. I had been with a competitor for pet insurance for years with previous dogs but after a friend referred to Healthy Paws, So glad I switched. We never expect these things to happen, however they do. My 90% reimbursement was received within about 8 days of faxing the invoice and reports. I received email updates on the status of my claim throughout the process, seamless and painless!They even followed inquiring as to how she was doing and if we had any questions. You can select deductible amount and your % of reimbursement to adjust your monthly premiums, with no lifetime or per incident dollar caps on claims.

Compassion for Pets and Owners

I switched to HealthyPaws after being unhappy and frustrated with my previous pet insurance provider. There is one HUGE difference between HealthyPaws and the majority of their competitors. Most providers carry a tantalizingly low deductible but it only applies 'per condition'. This is a very important distinction. If you dog swallows a sock and has an x-ray, sedation, operation, and meds you will certainly meet your deductible. But if you dog swallows a Lego man six weeks later you are back to square one. HealthyPaws has an annual deductible. Once you meet it you are covered at 90% for any covered care until the end of the calendar year. In my opinion, it is a much more fair system and is designed to protect pet owners from huge bills (rather than fill their pockets incrementally). On top of all of that, their premiums are much more reasonable than their competitors.That's it for the brass tacks. I want to share my personal experience with HealthyPaws as well. My beloved dog Fonz suffered a badly herniated disc and was in absolute agony. We had to take him to the emergency room, his primary care vet, the emergency room again, and finally the operating room for open spine surgery. Throughout the process, HealthyPaws was efficient and caring. They covered everything without blinking an eye and even followed up to see how he was doing before I could reach out to them. Having HealthyPaws insurance not only helped save our dog, they also helped us have peace of mind during a scary and sad time.

Very Satisfied Customer

Extremely friendly and helpful customer service. Everyone seems to be genuinely happy and to really care about their customers' pets. Also, the claims process was an absolute breeze. Very glad we chose Healthy Paws for our dog.

So impressed with HealthyPaws!

Healthy Paws was very helpful in a scary time!My schnoodle, Eloise, had to have emergency eye surgery after another dog bit her at the park. Healthy Paws approved my claim very quick and sent my reimbursement check (80%) in 3 days. The staff at Healthy Paws has checked on Eloise multiple times during her recovery period. I would highly recommend this pet insurance plan!

Rapid Service

After having Embrace for several years, I submitted my first claim for my dog, Cuatro, who had an emergency visit. Amazing!

We have 2 7 year old golden retrievers. Our male has struggled with skin issues due to allergies for many years. From multiple visits to the vet, as well as allergy testing, Embrace has been there & always backs us up. Our claims are so easy to file, we get an email acknowledging the claim was received, and reimbursement all so quickly. Embrace goes above & beyond our expectations. We will never have a pet without being covered by Embrace!

Hard to deal with full of false promises

I cancelled my coverage the 1st of January as going with another company who has quicker responses and payouts. At that time, I was told January's would still be charged. That was fine. February came, they billed me. The were contacted again and said cheque will be in the mail. March came and yet another charge! I was not happy and emailed them directly wanting answers and pay back. They called at the end of the work day stating a cheque would be in the mail within 10 days. Guess what.... NOTHING! It is now April 10th and Just rec'd notification of yet another withdrawal for April coverage ! What do I have to do?? This company is to say the least, the worst I have ever dealt with. I guess it's time to get some legal advise on this!
