Outstanding service with Embrace!

I have only had wellness visits with my puppy, but Embrace has covered all my bills. I'm always met with warm friendly service, and receive prompt updates throughout the claim submital and reimbursement process. Thank you! Processing time is quick, and the whole process is easy.

Terrific Customer Service

I never thought I would be singing praises for an insurance company, but was I wrong. I can't say enough about the great customer service, prompt responses, and timely payment we received. We hoped we would never have to use the insurance for something bad, but Joker was viciously attacked by another dog. He almost died and the vet bill was substantial. ASPCA Pet Insurance Company was so easy to work with during that stressful time. Thank you!

I wish human health insurance was this easy!

My dumb golden retriever ate one too many socks and needed it to be surgically removed. $4000 and 25 staples later, he is doing much better! Thank goodness we had Healthy Paws Insurance. Surgery was on a Tuesday, I submitted my claim on Friday through the Healthy Paws App (get it... it is so easy and helpful). One week later, I received my check in the mail. Such an easy process and super fast! If only human health insurance was this easy!

They provide amazing service!

My dog needed emergency surgery. Having the knowledge that Healthy Paws had us covered made the decision to proceed easy. Casey is now home and healthy again. Healthy Paws paid the approved the claim in 2 days and promptly sent payment. This was followed up with a wonderful email asking how Casey is feeling. I enthusiastically recommend Healthy Paws, and have encouraged a number of my friends to insure their pets with them.

Not just a number

I have read some of the other reviews, & yes sometimes it can take a while to get a refund, however I was encouraged by the wonderful & I mean wonderful, thoughtful, empathetic client services staff to change my payment method to direct bank deposit & my reimbursements were much quicker in being processed. Every single staff member I spoke was expectional in their endeavour to help me however they could, all the time keeping in mind that putting in a claim meant something was wrong with Sam who they asked about on every call there after. Honestly, nothing but wonderful things to say.

Horrible Company

Horrible, horrible company. I have a one year old French Bulldog puppy. When my dog was about 4 months she was bit by a tick on her face. I went to my vet and she examined the bite and prescribed me revolution so I can protect my dog from getting future ticks. The bite over next few days got even worse. So I came back to the vet again and she said don't worry it usually gets worse before it gets better. A week passed by and the bit was not getting any better. I visited my vet again and now the vet told me that I needed to do emergency day surgery on my puppy. After the procedure the vet charged me almost $800, and they recommended me to purchase puppy insurance. I thought that was a good idea as that day surgery my dog had would have been covered. So I did a lot of research and chose Pet Secure. Signed up for the best insurance that was supposed to be the most comprehensive without any exclusions. A few months passed by and I discovered my dog broke out in hives after changing over some of her food. I went to my vet to see what was going on and she said your puppy might have allergies. So we performed an allergy test for my dog which cost another $500. I found out my puppy is allergic to so many things as the French Bulldog breed is very sensitive. I processed my claim through Pet Secure feeling confident that I had amazing pet insurance that would cover any issues I have. That was not the case. The insurance company concluded that when my dog was bit by the tick she was scratching behind her ear therefore the allergies must have been present at that particular time. How does a tick have anything to do with allergies???? Obviously a dog cant choose where she is going to scratch; she is trying to scratch the huge cyst on her face from the tick but is also getting parts of her ear and other areas surrounding the eyes and such. It took me literally 4 months going back and forth with their vets talking to my vet. My vet told them that there were NO signs of allergies at the time of the bite from the tick. The insurance company would tell me they would follow up with me in a day or two and they would never call me. I would waste my precious time calling them and they not having any answers for me. As a pet owner how am I to know that if something actually serious happens to my dog that they are in fact going to cover the issue? If they are arguing over a $500 bill I cant see them covering a hip replacement that costs thousands of dollars.

Best customer experience and amazing value

With two cats, and knowing the history of pet health care costs through long experience, pet insurance seemed like a no-brainer. After reviewing the available options, the logical solution was to choose Figo. Why? Figo offers the most affordable and accessible plans. When you do the math, it makes good financial sense. More significantly though, as anyone who has ever filed an insurance claim knows, the claims process is usually not the most pleasant experience between a consumer and the insurer. But I have found that Figo has turned that notion on its head. Claims are incredibly easy to file, amazingly quick turnaround time is also a big plus. What really clinched it for me was the customer service reps. They are not only friendly, courteous and super helpful, some of them know oodles about pet health, all of which makes every call a great experience. I cannot find any reason to go back to the old insurance model, especially when I can do everything from my iPhone. (Too bad for the cats, we can't conduct their vet visits from an iPhone.)

You can't afford to be without pet insurance

I have 2 dogs that are both covered. One of my dogs just had her second ACL surgery. Both surgeries were covered. Without this coverage, I may have had to make the painful choice of having to have her put down do to the cost of the procedure. Nobody wants to be put in that position. I couldn't be happier with Healthy Paws customer service, coverage and quick claim processing times.

Basic OK; Beyond, beware

When you file a claim on your insurance, you have the Vet provide documented diagnosis and treatment along with supporting notes. No trouble occurs when the injury is clear or you encounter ordinary ailments that the animal may incur. BEWARE however if the ailment is "chronic". The policy will not provide payment for ongoing care of this condition -- it's in the small print of the insurance agreement. Further, despite the fact that PetFirst has all of the medical records, they do not notify you about the declination to continue to pay on such conditions past the original diagnosis. You may pay months of premiums on a pet that has a terminal condition when PetFirst will no longer provide coverage for ongoing treatment or tracking of the condition. I feel that it would be a small customer service courtesy to note this when it occurs and notify the customer that the policy will no longer pay thee claims. The customer can then make an INFORMED decision whether or not to continue coverage for injury/ailments beyond that which is terminal. I spent $16/mo for 5 months that were unnecessary. Not only were charges not paid, I paid over $75 for coverage that was unnecessary. This form requires me to certify time it took to resolve the claim, but does not indicate NEVER RESOLVED, so I indicated the longest -- which is the only lie in this review.
