When things go wrong with an older dog, they seem to really go wrong! So to be able to have insurance is great. The team at Pets Health Care Plan are very kind. Good at responding, short wait time on the phone, and follow up after incidents. Living in the NYC metropolitan area, fees are high, and I guess my only issue is that what I pay at the vet is always higher than what is allowed for "usual and customary charges."

Trupanion has been such an important part of Rufus's health. He's a beautiful old lab who has dealt with many issues over the years and I have been able to provide the best care possible for him. Over the years I have told anyone that would listen, how valuable Trupanion is and recommend that everyone has some level of pet insurance.

I have sent 2 emails to Trupanion regarding claims and have had no reply. I have three claims in progress - one they have had for several weeks and when I called yesterday the representative said they had just contacted my vet's office the day before for additional information. So much for many claims being processed in one day. This is my first time having pet insurance and I am a bit disappointed so far.

Dolly and I have been with Trupanion for the past several years and I cannot say enough good things about Trupanion. Until this past July I was working as a shuttle driver at LAX. Not a day went by that I did not meet a fellow pet lover and we would strike up a conversation about our pets (I had pictures of Dolly in the front of my shuttle which turned out to be an incredible ice breaker). During the course of the conversation I nearly always mentioned how incredible Trupanion was. I cannot begin to tell you how many passengers would write down your company name and phone no. that I would provide. So much so that I memorized your phone no. I have nothing but praise and the upmost respect that I have for your team. I wish I could give you a score of 100. Your caring and respectful team has guided me and Dolly Mae through some challenging situations, wether it was a health crisis with Dolly or a financial crisis with me. The care that I feel coming thru the phone is not robotic or scripted, it is a fellow pet lover who has a enormous heart. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Trupanion is and I hope and pray that we have many, many, many years to go. Even though the on-hold music says it will be long wait, it wasn't long wait at all. The guy who helped me called me back with answer very quickly, he was also caring asking how's my dog. Very sweet!
