A must to have with a pet

My poor dog had a bad year. He is 8 and in March he torn his 2nd ACL and had to have surgery. 8 weeks later they had to go in again and stabilize his knee cap.After losing so much muscle mass in between surgeries he had to start going in twice a week for a month for laser treatments and Adequan shots.Having this insurance helped so much since so far his right leg is up to $6000. I only had to pay 1200 myself. Get the insurance it's easier than having to face possibly putting your dog done because of the cost. I have gotten 4 friends to get this already!!!

Wesson's surgery

When my dog Wesson had to have a tooth pulled and a cyst removed off his tail, having Trupanion Insurance helped out so much. They paid over half our bill which was taken off before I brought my dog home. It is so worth having insurance. Trupanion is great!!

I have found Spot very easy to use

I have found Spot very easy to use. Claims are quick and easy to submit and refunds are handled quickly. I also like the fact that routine procedures such as annual wellness appts and shots are covered. I am very pleased with Spot.

Too many emails

Too many emails. I stop reading them because most of them are "we received" "we are reviewing" "we read" "we reviewed" "we are thinking about it" I don't need to know every breathe you take. A VERY short email with the subject line of "your submission was received" and the date in the body is enough. IF there is something that MetLife needs more information a different email... one that has "needs attention" in subject, otherwise I ignore them.

Great Service, Minor Hiccup

My experience over the phone was excellent—everything was quick, clear, and explained thoroughly. The representative was friendly and helpful. The only small hiccup was that my Bearded Dragon’s name was spelled incorrectly on the policy, but overall I’m very happy with the service.

The WORST!

I year after I purchased my policy, my dog was diagnosed with IVDD and required surgery. Figo approved and reimbursed physical therapy, acupuncture and x-rays related to the suspected IVDD/ neurological condition- which would indicate to anyone that this is approved. They then denied expensive MRI and surgery (Totaling almost $13,000) as they said it was a preexisting condition. They have run me around requiring more information from my vet, signed letters from the surgeon, the list goes on. I have now had to appeal the claim - yet they will not provide an exact reason for denial until after the appeal is closed. THE MOST ETHICAL COMPANY IVE EVER DEALT WITH. Not to mention they customer service is a joke. Telling me they would personally track my claim, only to never respond and tell me later they were out on PTO while they were supposed to be handling my paperwork that was requested to be received urgently from my vet.
