Couldn't have done it without Healthy Paws...

I cannot say enough about Healthy Paws. I signed my dog, Bishop up for coverage when he was 3 or 4 years old as a precautionary measure. When Bishop was 7, he was diagnosed with a degenerative and progressive spinal disease. Before his diagnosis was confirmed, we went through MRIs, CT Scans, Xrays, bloodwork and countless vet and specialist appointments. Not only was Healthy Paws a critical part in my family being able to afford Bishop's diagnosis, they were an integral part in us ultimately choosing to get Bishop a wheelchair and extend his happy life, even without the use of his back legs. Bishop lived a tremendously happy and healthy last 2 years with his disease, largely because Healthy Paws allowed us to focus on Bishop's health and not the medical bills. We were able to give Bishop THE BEST HEALTH possible. I am indebted to Healthy Paws for Bishop's last few years. Had we not had them, affording his medical care would have been a tremendous burden. We just adopted a new puppy and signed up for Healthy Paws the day we got her. I will never have another pet without having Healthy Paws <3

PreExisting Condition

If your looking for a pet insurance for your dog, then do it when it is a puppy, and do your research. Ask your Vet staff which one they like. A lot of Vets want you to pay upfront and some will submit your bill for reimbursement. They use Vet records to determine if your dog has a pre-existing condition and decide not to pay for the service. And, know that most do not pay for well examines or vaccines. Prime example is ear infections, which can be a reoccurring condition in some breeds. Especially Labs who love water. Digestive problems can be determined as pre-existing. Your Vet can rebut the condition, so make sure you have a Vet willing to do this.

Great fit

Wonderful service Simple to use and available support whenever you or your caregiver needs. Fast refunds and the option to pay vet directly. Would never had thought I needed the coverage so soon but so thankful I have. Low deductible options means I can continue care without breaking Bank. I covered both my pup's. Don't regret.

Great first year with ASPCA Pet Health Insurance!

I've had to already make 3 claims for my less than 1 year old puppy, and each time I did, it was as easy as can be, and the money paid out to me came quickly and accurately.

Quick turnaround time

We purchased insurance in the beginning of the year, and not even 2 weeks later our dog suffered a torn cruciate! We didn't have the underwriting process finished by the time our claim went in but that didn't stop them from simultaneously finishing the underwriting and processing our claim. We are new to pet insurance and they are so friendly on the phone, which is helpful because we had so many questions! We never felt like we were a bother, and they provided us with answers we needed. Feel very lucky to have PPU in our lives, and our dog definitely gets a second chance at life because of them :)

If you have a pet, you need Embrace Insurance.

I've never experienced such amazing claim handling and customer service with any other pet insurance company, this has been the BEST experience. It's the same great service on wellness coverage as it is for illness coverage. I was skeptical when my vet suggested a company I was not familiar with, but man, I am so happy she did!

Quick and Easy Claim Process

Embrace Insurance has helpful and friendly customer service, they made the claims process so simple and quick. It's reassuring to know that having Embrace Insurance, if an emergency arises, we won't have to worry about the financial aspect and we can just love and be there for our dog.

I had to call twice.

I had to call twice. Followed the instructions given on the first call, but got different information on the second call. Consistency of message would be my suggestion.

A few bumps in the road

Initially I was very excited to have my dog covered by Embrace. I am a USAA member and got a good discount based on that referral. I was also worried that my rescued pitbull mix would not get a fair shake and be denied coverage. Thankfully the people at Embrace were more open minded than that and had no issues covering her. The issues started when the first claims came in and started to back up. No one was going through her previous vet records and kept telling me that I needed to submit more information even though all available info was made available multiple times. Months went by without payment and claims piling up until one day and several phone calls I finally spoke to one wildly intelligent and patient young man who took the time to piece together what I was so frustrated about, and managed to process all of my claims in 24 hours. I don't believe I told him I was really calling to cancel my policy that day but he managed to stop me. I wish I could remember his name. I'm sure it's written down somewhere. It just takes one person to listen. After that ordeal, I haven't had a single problem and Embrace has been a delight. Even for medical claims I wasn't sure they would cover. My dog is my family and she has medical costs like any other child or human. Embrace makes it possible to afford these things and enjoy other things.

Everyone should have Embrace if they own a pet!

I couldn't of taken care of my pets the way they needed if I did not have Embrace, just knowing I have it when I don't need it is comforting!!! They have 92) Dobies have better insurance than I do! I will never go without it again.
