I was uncertain whether I actually had a claim, but Michael encouraged my to submit paperwork so that i could be determined. Michael has a kind, professional demeanor and e-mailed forms immediately. Whether it is eligible or not, the process was very easy to follow.

Premiums get bigger EVERY year, but not the list of covered services. If you won't pay for office visits, the least you could do is pay for vaccinations.

I recommend Trupanion to all of my dog friends. Very pleased.

My dog Chickie has emergency periodontal surgery on Jan.16th. Her vet(kingston animal hospital) ordered the surgery! Less than a week I had a consultation with the VCA in Weymouth Ma who assured me she was healthy for surgery. After the surgery and driving home my dog got anxious because she couldn’t breathe! I called VCA to have them listen to her breathing! Her gums were blue and they told me she was in respiratory failure due to the tube down her throat during surgery! Rushed my limp dog to The closest hospital, cape cod vet specialists. They saved my dog and told me she would have passed if I didn’t bring her in. After three years with Trupanion you are now say I g she had preexisting conditions, which she did not! I put in an appeal for the $3,000 day! It’s been 8 weeks and still no answer from Trupanion appeal board. I have three vets you can talk too in my dogs behalf! I am not going to let this go! Never put in a claim in 13 years! What’s the sense of having insurance if you can not use it!!! Priscilla Losi

Trupanion is okay. Too many restrictions after the fact. I'd rather pay a bit extra to have fees covered like taxes and exam fees. Emergency fees should be covered. Point blank. At least the left over balance of an emergency fee should be covered after the typical 65 exam fee.
