Shannon was very nice and as helpful as she could be. I have great concern with how Trupanion looks at anxiety disorders in animals. My dog was prescribed medications due to his autonomic nervous system being hyperactivate (he has a fear of noises and hides, no regressing type behaviors, just hides and is fearful). Medications, apparently, are not covered as anxiety is seen as a behavioral issue. This is like saying a depressed person's antidepressants will not be covered because suicide is a behavioral problem. Makes no sense and is not best practice. Furthermore it shows no compassion towards animals that have a chemical imbalance/ deficiency in their brain. Very disheartening that this is how anxiety problems are viewed, especially since every dog trainer I've spoken with has said it's a chemical issue that without medications there is no work that can be done on a behavioral level. Very sad that caring for animals is so primitive with Trupanion's knowledge of mental illness. I would think with all of today's knowledge we would be way past this type of thinking.

Actively referring Trupanion to all my coworkers. So glad we enrolled our fur babies since they were puppies cause now one of them has allergies and Trupanion shoulders 90% of his meds! Less financial worry on my part. Thanks Trupanion!!!

I called to cancel my pet insurance for one of my cats who had passed away. Jorge was very compassionate, kind and understanding on the phone. He handled the call with care and was truly empathetic to my situation. He made this call and process a lot easier through his compassion which I truly appreciated.

My questions are always well addressed and answered and i get the sense Trupanion really cares about my dogs.

I was uncertain whether I actually had a claim, but Michael encouraged my to submit paperwork so that i could be determined. Michael has a kind, professional demeanor and e-mailed forms immediately. Whether it is eligible or not, the process was very easy to follow.

My dog had surgery. It was so easy with trupanion ....the direct pay to the vet was terrific. I am so happy to have your insurance
