I was looking for help getting my dog…
I was looking for help getting my dog seen by a vet and started to look up pet insurance, when I came across an ad for this one I read through the screens and filled in all the information. Once I paid to get started and waiting the waiting period I took my dog in. Once I was there I was told that this pet insurance required me to pay upfront the full amount then submit paperwork and hope to get funds back. I wasn't informed that thats how the insurance worked so I went ahead and canceled the plan. That was around 3 months ago and I just received a phone call because the company ended up taking the money from my husband's account today for the last 2 months of payments we clearly weren't planning on paying since I canceled the plan. The agent said I had to try and "prove" exactly what date i canceled it which was by following different links first in the app. Then directed to their website and so on. Now we have to try and contact our bank and tell them what's happening and hope this company doesn't try and steal more money.

Prudent Pet seems like a great fit for our needs
My Vet sent me a link to Pawlicy for comparisons. Prudent Pet seems like the best fit for my girl Zoey. The coverage is expansive for a low price. The process of applying was fast and easy.

I purchased an Embrace policy for my…
I purchased an Embrace policy for my dog and maintained coverage for approximately three years because I believed it would provide peace of mind and affordable protection as he entered his senior years. During that time, I paid approximately $190 per month and submitted only four claims, none of which were paid. My premium remained relatively stable, so I had no reason to believe a significant increase was coming. Less than 30 days before renewal, I received a one page notice informing me that my premium would increase from approximately $190 per month to $502 per month. No meaningful explanation accompanied the notice. My frustration is not that premiums can increase. My frustration is that I was never given a realistic understanding that maintaining coverage for years could result in a premium increase of this magnitude when my dog reached age 13 and was most likely to need the coverage. Had I known that was a possibility, I would have placed the same money into a dedicated savings account instead of maintaining the policy. Pet owners considering Embrace should carefully investigate how premiums may change as their pets age and ask specifically about potential increases during the senior years. I wish I had known more about that before enrolling.
