Great Pet Insurance
I was happy and very pleased with the reimbursement I received for my chihuahua's medical treatment. I was kept updated via emails on the claim's process. Customer Service was courteous and helpful in assisting me with any questions I had. This is my first claim with Pets Best. Being on a budget, I feel confident that my little furry rescue is covered for me to hand his medical expenses. Thank you!

First Time Pet Insurance Buyer. Good First Experience.
This was the first time I've ever purchased pet insurance. We have a new Malinois puppy and it seemed prudent. After checking a lot of different insurances I found this one to be the best value for the money. We also added the "wellness plan" since she will be getting all of her puppy shots and check ups. The first wellness check up and puppy shots bill I submitted for payment was approved within 3 days. They paid for everything except for her Puppy ParvoVirus vaccine. I thought it strange since they paid for her other vaccine. I called them on Christmas Eve (day) and got a US based customer service rep. She looked at it and said it was just an error since my vet's billing code didn't show "VAC" or the word "Vaccine" on the bill. They apparently use some type of AI to read and pay claims. She said it would be paid and the amount of the Parvo Vac would be added to my reimbursement check. Easy-Peasy. I wish all my medical claims were that easy to fix. So far so good with this new insurance. At the price of vets these days (I'm in Hawaii) you can easily recover your annual premium in just one or two visits. Our friend's Pomeranian puppy broke her leg and her vet bills totaled $11k for everything to fix it. Like all insurance, best to have it and hope you never need to use it.

Submitting Claims
Claims are easy to submit online. It does take some time but not unreasonable. I have never had any problems receiving payment.
Quick Payout
"My first time sending in a claim for my pup. This was for a wellness exam. Very quick payout. "

Renewal for our 5 year old dog with…
Renewal for our 5 year old dog with zero claims for the last 4 years was DOUBLE last year's premium. When I checked a quote as if we were a new customer it was barely half. When I called to talk about it, the rep had no official answers. But it turned out if I change anything to "reset tenure" then with a small waiting period the quote would be cut nearly in half with no significant "pre-existing conditions". Feels like dealing with shady company (like all insurance companies) that will happily over charge you like this. The rest of the service has been good, the website and information provided so 3 stars.

game changing for my dog
Having pet insurance has been a game changer for the care I’m able to provide for my dog! When I rescued Lucy (she was 4 months old and in great health!) I hoped I’d never need it but always wanted to have it, just in case. Over the years (Lucy is almost 11 years old!!) Healthy Paws has come in SO clutch. Between a mast cell tumor removal (success!), emergency surgery to remove a foreign object (a rock!!), 2 ACL repairs, a splenectomy and other unexpected vet visits/expenses, I truly couldn’t do this without Healthy Paws. I’m so happy with my plan, the easy-to-use mobile app, the friendly customer service and the quick turn around time after claims are submitted. I’ve literally saved thousands of dollars and Lucy is doing wonderfully. 10/10!

Pays for routine shot allowance
Pays for routine shot allowance. Although it does not cover the full amount as most vets charge more. I have not had to use it for anything extensive which is a good thing.
