Worth it.
You guys have been great. My dog has cancer and I haven’t had to worry about the claims process at all. You don’t quibble about amounts or nickel and dime on claims. I believe this has given us time with dexter we might not have had. Well worth the monthly premiums.

Trupanion covered Copper’s infection A+
Our 9 year old but still very full of energy basset hound was found just lying in a hallway. It seemed he could not even get up. And though he is a basset, he doesn’t normally drool, but now he was. We let him be overnight, but in the morning we found vomit in several places. Our usual veterinarian was closed, so we went to the 24 hour Blue Pearl veterinarians. They took him in and determined that he had an infection and they gave him an injection of antibiotic along with antibiotic pills to give him at home. He already seemed better on the ride home. He improved quickly and when contacted by Blue Pearl a week later, they said their main X-ray reader had viewed Copper’s and substantiated the diagnosis. We had given our Trupanion information to the vet before, and that was all. About a week later we got a check from Trupanion. Of course we wished that we had no deductible, but we got Trupanion because my daughter is on the Autism Spectrum and accidentally broke Copper’s hind leg when we had had him for only a week. Without insurance it cost us over $4,000.00! We decided we needed coverage for expensive dog health issues. I researched several and found Trupanion to be the best. I am glad I did, and when I asked the Blue Pearl vet about Trupanion’s likelihood to cover this event and she said she had heard good things about you.

Service agents are super helpful and friendly. The plan is also straightforward and it's easy to sign up. The only caveat is that the pricing is a bit high compared to other services. I guess you get what you pay for. Overall, I would still recommend Trupanion as it was recommended to several of my friends.

Healthy Paws pet insurance has been the easiest company I have ever dealt with. In the past we had another recommend company and the coverage was lousy, as was the claim response. We go this insurance when our pup was 9 weeks, would not change for anyone. Claims can be submitted online and the response is very quick as is reimbursement. You will save money in the long run, well worth signing up.
