Trupanion is the best. I don't know what I would do without their financial help. It enables me to not have to make the decision as to whether or not to have Zack receive the medical treatment needed based upon my ability to pay for it. Thank you Trupanion!

My small payments with Healthy Paws every month really paid off when my pup needed a big surgery!
I am a young pet owner and was told that getting insurance for my dog would be a smart financial idea. This couldn’t be more true. My pup had an accident that ended up requiring surgery as well as a few other medical needs earlier in the year. Just like humans, unexpected medical bills can get really expensive and I am so grateful that a company like Healthy Paws was there to cover the majority of my pups bills. The yearly deductible is also at a reasonable rate ($250). After my dogs surgery a customer care member reached out to me to make sure his surgery went well and to see if I was satisfied with the ease of the process. This meant a lot to me and my family. The reimbursement checks also always come to my home very quickly after the claim is submitted and approved. I would recommend healthy paws pet insurance to anyone because it will save you so much money in the long run. Don’t waste any time! Sign your dog or cat up ASAP!

Your price increases based on postal codes are insane.
Your price increases based on postal codes are insane. The inability to override the system to make corrections seems pretty ridiculous. Not once have I submitted a claim. This should be like car insurance. You don’t face yearly increases if you have a clean driving record. I am almost to the point of canceling my insurance. You are also the highest priced insurance there is by the looks of it.

Because the 1st time around You guys were awesome and I am hoping this time it will be the same outcome My dog is my favourite person. I honestly didn't think I called Trupanion the 1st date happen.. But I was still caught up with what was going on in to get my dog admitted they needed for me to pay $954 before they can start.. got mad at my vet for that... But then I let it go because all I wanted was my dog to be OK.... Some just hoping that this time around with you guys be as great as the 1st time

Claims are easy and the money comes fast! I just wish I didn’t have to spend so much $ to be eligible for money back. After 8 years, it felt like it took a lot to actually have things covered.

Trupanion covers the oldies but goodies
I am pleased with my experience with Trupanion. My dog is 16 years old, and lots of pet insurers will not insure a dog that old. My sense is that Trupanion gives me a fair deal in terms of what is covered. Claims are settled quickly, and it is easy to file a claim.

I'm grateful that my policy covered 2/3 of my pet's recent emergency, but I do wonder if I'm paying too much. I think pet insurance is also offered through my company. The Trupanion employee who helped me was great, nice and efficient. All the communication via email with Trupanion was thorough and prompt etc. My only hesitation behind a higher score is that I haven't resesarched other options. But my experience with Trupanion has been good.

Never believe insurance companies
My 5 month old puppy had a UTI. Completely resolved. I suspected a UTI in the now 8 month only pup and took him in. They denied the claim and now UTI’s are a “pre-existing condition” and not covered for the life of the pet (even though the test was negative). Just like any insurance company, they will find reason not to pay. If my boy has ANY issues related to his penis now, they will say it was obviously a pre-existing condition. He also had a ripped claw so I’m sure paw issues are now not covered. I will be switching providers as soon as the other plan opens. Rip off!

Very little payment for services and always tries to tie everything back to pre-existing conditions. We signed up for Trupanion within a few weeks of bring our new puppy home, how can almost every issue that has come up over 8 years be viewed as prior conditions. Our Vet who has experience with several plans does not understand why we continually get the "company no pay" answer on almost everything submitted, when her experience with other plans would have paid.
