Simply THE best
We have recently experienced a very stressful period with our dog. Over the more than 2 months it has taken to help him successfully recover, ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has nothing short of a blessing! Previously, we did not insure pets, but now being retired and on a limited/fixed income, decided to when we added Rufus to our little family. During this difficult time, ASPCA was amazing. The claim filing process is simple, the response time is outstanding, and the coverage is superb AND affordable! We live in true "dog lover country" here and I recommend ASPCA whenever I can!! In a time of automated/AI driven unresponsive service providers, it has been a joy to quickly and EASILY reach a real person when necessary and get clear, concise assistance. THANK YOU for providing THE best customer service!

Incorrect Claims Adjustments and Denials
If I could Healthy Paws Pet Insurance zero stars I would. Their claims adjuster rushed to review and approve/deny and mistakenly deny claims in record-time, only to delay 15 business days to correct their mistake. Insurance is EXPENSIVE... they want $300/month for a healthy dog with zero surgeries. RIDICULOUS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

I have been with trupanion for almost 5…
I have been with trupanion for almost 5 years and since last two years added my second cat to it. Touchwood I have never needed them. Every year they have increased the fee which I was fine with till I thought they would actually cover the cost when I actually need them but guess what? Today is that unfortunate day- The cost of the treatment is slightly above 1k and you know what they covered??? 184.94. As soon as I walk out of the ER today - m canceling my insurance.

After eight years with Healthy Paws
After eight years with Healthy Paws, my premium is increasing from $155.33 to $339 per month — a 118% jump. What began as about $35 per pet has now risen to $131 for one dog and $208 for the other starting in August. I understand that premiums can increase due to age, inflation, and rising veterinary costs. But an increase of this magnitude feels extreme and was never clearly communicated when I enrolled. Reasonable adjustments are expected — doubling the premium is another matter. Because of this increase, I ultimately had to cancel the insurance. What makes this particularly frustrating is that for one of my dogs I paid premiums consistently for years and barely used the policy. The explanations provided so far (age, region, veterinary trends) are very general and lack transparency. Without concrete data or clear rate filings, it’s difficult to understand how such a dramatic increase is determined. I chose pet insurance so my dogs would be protected as they age, not so I’d be priced out of coverage when they might need it most. At the very least, long-term customers deserve clearer transparency around how premiums are calculated and why increases of this scale occur.
