Corporate Greed
I would like to show you corporate greed at its finest. Doodle has had pet insurance through Pets Best since he was a puppy. He has never had an injury or an illness that required payment of a claim. Doodle turned 9 years old on September 1st. Last month's premium was $39.11. I received a nice little letter from Pets Best Insurance that stated because that since the cost of veterinary care has increased, Doodle's premium starting in June will be $81.97/month. No, I don't blame Pets Best Insurance entirely for this increase (although I must admit, I am unable to see the salaries of their corporate staff because they have now gone private, having previously been a part of Synchrony...although being a private company we cannot blame the increase on the stockholders wanting to see a big rate of return but can blame it on people with over-inflated egos within the corporate office thinking they're worth big bucks when they're actually worth less than your average everyday worker). I can put part of the blame on corporate veterinary clinics that have been absorbing the little veterinary clinics, basically pricing them out of business (just like in the human medical community). I'm a big fan of shopping local and support the little guy. So basically I'm going to tell Pets Best to shove it where the sun doesn't shine and put the $81 plus change into an account at my local credit union where I will get better a better rate of return than the stock market offers. Here's to you Pets Best 🖕

Just another garbage pet insurance…
Just another garbage pet insurance company looking to take your money and deny your claims. Terrible. I suggest saving an emergency fund and including any monthly fees you would have given Spot. They get two stars for having an app that’s easy to use that makes filing a claim simple, but it’s all for nothing so why bother?

I have had my dog on this insurance…
I have had my dog on this insurance since a puppy. They constantly increase rates, state they cover unlimited but fail to mention constant normal procedures they do not cover and constantly increases rates. I have not been able to ever get money back and suggest finding a place that covers routine care especially preventative. Unless your dog is very sick its better to put the amount of money you want to spend on your dog monthly, in a dog savings account, find a better insurance that has more wide benefits and keep your deductible at a high amount while doing this to a sufficient saving amount, then cut them loose. They process claims quick but rarely do you qualify for any refund due to fine print and exclusions
