Horrible customer service and expensive
I have one dog on AKC. Insurance and the other dog. I decided to try pets best. They are horrible. They hardly ever pick up on the phone and it's usually a 20 minute wait to talk to a human. They do not respond to emails. The charge for my dog per month was $190, because she was an adult, most of the issues she had that I tried to submit, they claimed or pre-existing which some were not Then my dog died, and I tried to cancel the account. I could not get ahold of anybody by phone and I sent several emails which were ignored. (They also take 3 weeks to return a reimbursement for a pet bill, while AKC somebody picks up on the phone immediately and I usually get reimbursement in 3 days to a week). I wouldn't do business with this company, but i am staying with AKC Insurance for my next dog.

Healthy paws is the best
Healthy paws is the best, been with them over two dogs for 11 years. If you have a dog you need Healthy Paws. They are quick and easy to deal with, and are fairly priced for what they provide. Highly recommend them

FETCH PET IS A CRIMINAL INSURANCE COMPANY
I have never come across a more criminal organization in my life. I know countless people using other insurance companies who aren't paying the absolutely ridiculous fees I am. My dog is a healthy 5 year old, and while he is a French bulldog, so that means he comes with a higher premium to begin with as it's a problematic breed, I am FLOORED and what I am being asked to pay. This dog has had ONE claim in the year 2025. ONE. For $1600 dollars. I was already paying $295 a month for 80% coverage which is WAY more expensive than anyone I know. I just received an email today stating they have bumped up his monthly fees to $416. FOUR HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN DOLLARS A MONTH. WHEN WE HAD ONE CLAIM FOR THE WHOLE YEAR? THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY. In what universe can someone afford to pay that for their dog. My other dog, also a French Bulldog, I am paying $355 a month for 70% coverage. She has had many claims, so I understand her premiums go up slightly but I was already outraged and incredibly UNHAPPY at $355 dollars a month. My sister is with Trupanion and has an unlimited annual limit and is paying 240 a month for TWO cats that have made TONS of claims. I have a friend who is with a different company and has an English bulldog. This dog has been RIDDLED with issues all of its 9 long years of life. My friend has had an increase from $80 to $145 dollars OVER HER NINE YEARS OF LIFE. My Dogs are 5 and 5 and a half. MAKE THIS MAKE F***ING SENSE. I would never ever recommend this company to even my worst enemy. They are a greedy corporate villain and I am disgusted as a customer. I am now considering ALL options to be able to leave this nightmare of an insurance company. SHAME on FETCH PET FOR BANKRUPTING PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sure the CEO is in his 200 million dollar yacht laughing at my comment as we speak.

Absolutely wonderful experience
Absolutely wonderful experience! The premium price is reasonable, their mobile app is easy to use, they explain exactly what’s covered, they approve and pay claims fairly quickly. I wish they covered preventive care…. Other than that Healthy Paws is awesome!

Unfaithful practices, just don’t do it.
I chose this company based on their positive reviews, but my experience has been a nightmare. I enrolled my 4-year-old cat a few months ago, but upon submitting our first claim, they denied it immediately. After reviewing her records, they have now flagged every previous minor issue as "chronic," effectively ensuring that nothing she is seen for in the future will be covered. It feels like a bait-and-switch. What is the point of paying for insurance if the policy is designed to never pay out? Save your money and look elsewhere.

Unsatisfied Client
Each of the past two years Trupanion has increased my premium roughly 30% from $128 in 2024 to now $213.20 in 2026! I understand the need for increases; they are a part of life. However, nothing increases at the rate they have increased my premium over the course of the past few years. The email to me states, "We recently reviewed the data for similar pets in your area, and we found that the average cost of veterinary care has increased." Being a customer for many years, I want to believe them. However, when I called to discuss this significant increase, I asked the person on the phone to share the data with me so I can verify the validity of their claim; she informed me that Trupanion chooses not share that information. Really? If the increase is based on real numbers in comparison to dogs similar to my dog in my area, why not share the data? It leads me to believe that the increase is based on the fact that I actually have to use the insurance to cover the heart condition my dog is suffering from and they are merely punishing me for having to use the service I already pay for. They don't care about my dog. They are just trying to recoup funds. Why else would a legitimate company willfully withhold information from their customers? The fact is they have me over a proverbial barrel because I can't leave them and go to another company with my dog's current condition. The person on the phone assured me that they care about my dog. How can they say that when they are about to push my premium to the point where I will no longer be able to afford the insurance and my dog's care forcing me to make a decision insurance is supposed to prevent me from having to make. My dog is a soon to be five year old Leonberger with heart failure, who has been able to be treated and thrive because of our relationship. However, their greed is forcing an end to this relationship and ultimately an end to Ve's life. Their increases are not sustainable, and they come with a very real and painful cost.

Quick to pay claims but hard to cancel
Embrace was fairly quick to pay benefits but the policy price increased every year and at a pretty large amount. I understand vets aren't cheap but my biggest issue was cancelling my policy was very difficult.

I modified my policy because it was getting too expensive. The modification was recognized by Embrace but I was still charged the higher amount.
