Simple application with timely review
We were looking at changing our pet insurance since we had to add another pet. Our previous company had substantially increased our cost, with no changes in coverage or the health of our cat. I submitted the straightforward on-line application, and received a notice in the mail five days later about the policy being approved.

Outrageous increased premiums after illness
As my dog aged, insurance premiums increased, as most pet insurance does. However, when my dog had a medical issue after 10 years with the insurance, the premiums almost doubled (to $400/month in 2025). Most shockingly, my dog didn’t require surgery, nor any expensive treatments or tests (analgesics and crating only), just several visits to the vet. Now, I can’t switch to another insurance because she has a pre-existing condition. Fetch doesn’t work like a true insurance, in which the risks are distributed amongst the insured pool, they get their money back from you in the subsequent months. They can do that because you are now trapped with them due the pre existing condition

Rate Increase
My dog was diagnosed with hip dysplasia when she was just under 5 years old. She was born in 2016. I am a Certified Canine Practitioner & was working at that time. I had signed up for insurance previously. My policy covered major illnesses plus acupuncture & physical therapy, including laser treatment. It did not cover routine care. Since I was working, I was able to treat her hip dysplasia without billing her insurance until 2021. From 2021 to 2024, insurance paid 80% of her meds and laser treatment with reasonable increases in monthly payments. My dog turned 11 in October of 2024 and then I received a notification that her payments would increase from $117 to $ 203.00 per month. I consider this to be excessive when nothing had changed except her age. My conclusion could only be that Pet's Best did not want to fulfill their obligation to pay for her care unless they could charge me an outrageous fee. I canceled the policy and would not recommend them under any circumstances.
Very Poor Customer Service
I loved Pet's Best at first. Bragged to everyone about them. My first couple of claims went smooth. But this last experience forced me to cancel. It took about a month for them to communicate with me. I thought they ghosted me. The reimbursement was fine. I called customer service because I wanted to talk to an agent to see if I needed to adjust my policy. After you press 1 for this, 2 for that, 3 for this, 4 four for that, you think you are finally getting through to someone...NOPE! I waited on hold for nearly 20 minutes then hung up because I was at lunch. Called the next day and was hold for 23 minutes before I got through to an agent. After feeling ghosted then spending 43 minutes on hold I was irritated so I decided I would cancel and go to another provider. You cannot cancel online! You have to call the phone number again and go through the maddening process to speak to someone. I am glad I made the decision to cancel after being treated like I was not valued for my business.

Super easy and 10/10
Super easy and quick to use! I’ve never had pet insurance before but this was definitely worth it. Probably one of the best decisions I’ve made. I filed my first claim and it was super simple through the app and I got the response in a week. Love it

I don’t want to sound like a sponsor or…
I don’t want to sound like a sponsor or something, but Embrace is so amazing. I just had a vet visit 2 hours ago, submitted my claim 1 hour ago, and just got a notice that it was approved and my refund is going to hit in the next couple of days. They’re always so quick and it’s been such a relief to have. When one of my dogs needed dental care, they covered the 80% that they said they would. If I had to cover that myself it would’ve been $4,000 out of pocket. Thank you for being so amazing!!!
