Nothing is covered
Nothing is covered. Read closely deductible is for each thing. So every time you bring him in for something different $250 starts over. If my cat lives 10 years and goes to vet 1 time a year. I pay well over 10K for insurance. Been to vet 2 times not 1 thing was covered

Metropolitan Life paid a large claim…
Metropolitan Life paid a large claim for my dog's dental cleaning, a week after the procedure. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I received the reimbursement. Every time I call Metropolitan Life, the agent who answers is always friendly and helpful. I am very happy with this pet insurance.

I am SO disappointed in Trupanion
I am SO disappointed in Trupanion. I have been paying insurance for years with my dog which originally started at $45/month. It has gradually increased and with a recent move they increased my cost to $200/month with a $500 deductible. Making this completely unaffordable. I trusted this company and now they are abandoning my dogs health. This is what we get for customer loyalty? Shame on you.

When we lost our dog back in April
When we lost our dog back in April, the vet bills were over $5,000—money we simply didn’t have. So when we brought home our new puppy, we decided to get insurance so we wouldn’t ever face that kind of out-of-pocket cost again. It was the best decision we made. Not long after, our dog accidentally ate chocolate and became sick. We rushed him to the vet, fully expecting a huge bill. Instead, we only paid our deductible and copay. Trupanion paid the vet directly within hours, and our claim was processed quickly. They even did a pre-authorization so we knew the cost immediately. Because of Trupanion, we were able to give our dog the care he needed without the financial stress. Thank you
