I have had very positive experiences with the Trupanion team over the years with my precious dog, Mokie. I truest believe that Mokie was able to be here with me for so long (over 14 years) because I was lucky enough to afford insurance for him and give him the best care.

I think overall Trupanion is a good company to go with however the rates are pretty high so you have to have a large deductible in order to afford the monthly premiums.

Overpriced. I thought because I carried State Farm insurance that it would be slightly discounted. You can get the same coverage for 35-40% less.

Our investment in Trupanion came through
The website made it extremely easy to upload my scanned receipt and file a claim all in one. Then the veterinary hospital filed the next one for us. Trupanion sent timely notifications throughout so we didn't spend much time fretting about that when we had other things preoccupying us, namely concern for our dog's surgery results. It was the first time since we signed up over ten years ago that we made a major claim for what turned out to be a minor surgery. Our "investment" came through. Definitely worth it!
