OUTSTANDING PET INSURANCE!
MetLife is an amazing pet insurance! Sadly, I have tried a few pet insurances in the past and the other companies were either too expensive to keep or took an inconsiderable amount of time with receiving payments for a claim. I have now been a customer for MetLife for a number of years now and I am extremely happy I came across MetLife with their quality of business and attention they give to their customers! Thank you MetLife! ❤️🐾

Did I really need pet insurance????
Molly is a 6 yr old rescue i got july 2, 2025. The insurance was suggested at the adoption facility. I pay very little for this insurance and really did not expect much. I even hesitated to turn in vet bills thinking it would cover very little. Knowing it did not cover annual check up, shots and allergy issues i couldnt imagine it being worth much. However, my Molly has developed reoccurring UTIs and have required needle drawn urine tests and ultrasounds and it has been a great benefit for her health and wellbeing. It pays quickly upon receiving vet bills that qualify. Money is transferred directly into my bank account. Thank you Canine Met Life!

This is a scam - beware of actual costs!
Horrible experience. First of all, my policy states that I have a “$500” deductible and am reimbursed 70% AFTER the deductible has been met. However, what Figo fails to mention is that if the first appointment is greater than $500, they remove the deductible after the 70% reimbursement has been applied - essentially making the deductible 30% more than they state (unlike all other Pet Insurances I’ve come across as well as how the average Health Insurance is applied - I work for Medicare so I am well aware how human health insurance works). So in all, if using Figo, be aware that the deductible is much higher and in my case, $650 rather than $500! (For reference, spoke to Insurance Agent License: 4431168)

Be aware
Most of the customer service representative were helpful and nice. However my bill increased by $45.00/month. My plan is expensive and does not even include wellness visits. When I first became a customer, they labeled my 6 pound Yorkie vicious, and my other Yorkie with anxiety because he needed medicine once for a car drive to Florida for motion sickness because he vomits un the car. They just label your dog so the company does not to cover any potential/future issues. My vet records never used words or implied that my dog was anxious or vicious. I’m in the process of shopping around now for new insurance.

I spend $68 a month for the premium…
I spend $68 a month for the premium insurance, but when I take my cat to get annual shots or visits, the insurance doesn’t even cover half of what is owed. Ridiculous.. I am seriously considering finding a new pet insurance

High Marks for Trupanion
We strongly advise having pet insurance and highly recommend Trupanion. You know what you’re getting and what you’re not getting. We’re happy to pay for the standard things because we know they’ll be there for the serious ones. Nice to have premium payment options too.

A disappointing experience
My puppy's surgery was denied because her hip issue was diagnosed during the orthopedic waiting period. I know this is my fault, but it just left me with such a bad view of this company. I submitted an appeal and hoped they would reconsider, but they didn't (if they had, they would've had a customer for life). I've been using them for three pets since 2021 and recommended them to half a dozen people. They've barely paid anything for my other pets because of the deductible and they keep raising rates. So, I switched the puppy to Lemonade that has much higher coverage amount for the same monthly fee. I honestly don't think any of these companies are great, but I'm not keeping the puppy with this company for her entire life after this happened - they also won't cover any stomach issues because she threw up once on the way home from picking her up from the shelter.
