We have had some close calls with our 2 cats ! It has costs a fortune to keep them alive. My husband had other pet insurance, which covered nothing at a very high price. We heard about Met Pet Ins. took a chance, and it was the best ever move!!! MET PET PAYS IT ALL!!!! So thankful for it. If anyone cares about their pet ,GET MET PET INSURANCE !!!!

Buyer Beware!
We have been w/ Healthy Paws for 7 years, claim free. Monthly payment start at $33 per month. 7 years later $255. Same pet, same vet, same claim free history. As your pet ages, Healthy Paws will continue doubling your coverage, forcing you to drop coverage. Healthy Paws customer service says rates changed due to astronomical vet increases (our vet was 7%) and also blamed ourstates insurance regulators (we checked, they do not determine our increases), so it chalks up to a greedy insurance company and their profit margin. Buyer beware insuring older pets

Thank you for being part of the Healthy Paws family since 2017. Premium increases are influenced by two primary factors, the increased age of your pet and the cost of veterinary care services reflected in claims paid in your specific state. Your premiums have gone up since total claim payments to pet parents, among other things, have increased faster than premiums paid by all pet parents in your state. As a result, the premiums for insurance for all pets in your state need to be increased so your insurer can continue to provide this type of insurance. Premiums are determined based on the rates and rating rules filed with, and approved by, each state’s insurance regulator, which reflect the cost of treatment advances in veterinary medicine, and characteristics of the individual pet, in addition to the overall claims experience for the program within the region where the pet resides. We include premium increase information within the "Frequently Asked Questions" page of our website.
Is good the Insurance but too Pricie
So, my dog has been insured for almost 11 years now and at the beginning I paid $34, now I have to pay $216, it's terrible, I pay more for my dog than for myself. I have the 80/20 plan.

Excellent Insurance for a Medically Complex Pup
We signed our Goldendoodle, Emerson, up for Healthy Paws Insurance when we brought him home as a puppy four years ago, and we are beyond happy that we did. When he was about 2.5 years old, Emerson suffered severe acute gastrointestinal distress and was subsequently diagnosed with irritable bowel disease (IBD). This has resulted in multiple hospitalizations as well as expensive diagnostic procedures, which have collectively cost in excess of $20K. The Healthy Paws team has stood by Emerson the entire time, covering virtually all expenses (aside from our deductible). This has allowed us to give our boy the care and love he needs without any worry about the financial consequences of his illness. Moreover, all claims (including very large ones) have been processed in a matter of days. We're very grateful for the team at Healthy Paws and cannot recommend them enough!
Pretty good pet insurance
They have handled all our claims pretty efficiently, and reimbursement came pretty quickly. When I have contacted them by phone they were always helpful and courteous. It is expensive, but I think all the companies are.

Medical for dogs
Vet bills can be quite pricey n you don’t realized the benefits of pet insurance until your pet needs care It’s helps with the burden of the expense
Absolute failure on all levels - DO NOT use this insurance company
I wish I had contacted the BBB and read their reviews before signing up with Pets Best. They are awful. I have had one simple claim in the past year since starting this policy. I was told when I signed up that claims are processed within 15 days. After 30 days for this claim, I started calling and was told that it is actually 42 days. No one could tell me if/when my claim would be processed. Every phone call to customer service involved 30 minutes + on hold. Customer service reps know nothing and are not helpful whatsoever. After repeated phone calls with no resolution and no end in sight, I opened a case with the BBB. Several days after that I received a letter from Pets Best letting me know my rates are increasing 45% at renewal next month. When I signed up I was told to set up direct deposit so claims would get paid out in 1-2 days. I did that, yet my payment took a week. I cancelled my policy the day my reimbursement hit my checking account. This is a horrible company and I am shocked they are still in business. Do not use this company! I will be sure to spread the word.

Trupanion is totally worth the cost of peace of mind.
After paying out thousands for pet care we finally decided that pet insurance was the way to go. Our Chihuahua is 16 and in really good health but on Sunday I knew there was something seriously wrong. She couldn’t urinate. Never even had a urinary tract infection that we were aware of. Rushed her to the animal emergency hospital where they confirmed that she had stones blocking her bladder. Estimate for care and surgery $10,000-$13,000. I knew we had Trupanion and didn’t think twice about how we were going to afford treating her. We paid our deductible and Trupanion paid the rest directly to the animal hospital. Otherwise, we would have to had close to $10,000 that day to treat her. None of us think this would happen to us but I witnessed other pet parents trying to pay their bill with multiple credit cards and debit cards that day. We made a very wise decision to get pet insurance and to pick Trupanion.
