Everything is rejected and what you get…

Everything is rejected and what you get reimbursed is not worth it.

VERY PLEASED WITH INSURANCE

Great dog insurance company. Claims very easy to file. Very fast payout directly to my Bank of America account. Payout on routine wellness visit with necessary vaccinations was so reasonable. Highly recommend this insurance company. I chose no limit coverage and feel comfortable having the no limit coverage. I have this insurance on both my mini schnauzers.

Pleased with first claim experience

I am satisfied with Pets Best and like their pricing and ease of filing a claim. I was surprised it took as along as it did for them to send me payment, which they acknowledged. Hopefully that was a fluke. It certainly wouldn’t cause me to seek out other insurance.

Filing a claim was simple. Straightforward.

Filing a claim to be reimbursed was super straightforward and couldn’t be easier. We’re so happy we have Spot coverage because that sudden surgery definitely hurt our wallets and we’re glad we were able to get back most of it!

Jacked up rates 1,000% over 11 years fraudulently

I have been a HealthyPaws customer since 2014. I currently have 3 dogs on my plan. When I signed up the policy stated that premium increases were ONLY applied in line with rising costs due to vet care in my particular area. There were supposedly NO increases in premium based on claims made or pet age. My vet has increased their prices across the board roughly 40% over the course of the last 11 years, and yet my premiums have gone up 1,000%. They still claim the increases are due to costs of vet care increasing in my area, which anyone with a basic education can see is a blatant lie. The thing is that they know that pet insurance companies are allowed to deny claims for pre-existing conditions, so when your dog is old and has a condition or two, they jack up your rates because if you leave, you won’t get covered anywhere else. This is absolutely disgusting and absolutely fraudulent. The promise to only increase cost based on vet premiums rising in my area was ON MY CONTRACT when I first signed up. They disable the ability to comment on their social media posts because the posts are 90% people like me who have been seriously wronged by them. Don’t get sucked in. It will be fine for a few years. They are pretty good with handling claims quickly so it’s easy to think this company is great at first. It’s as if they wait until they know your dog has conditions and then they start piling on the increases with no verifiable proof that vet costs have increased. Just run. I hope they get a big fat class action suit and are found guilty of fraud.

I’ve been a faithful costumer for 3-4…

I’ve been a faithful costumer for 3-4 years now and I find it ridiculous I only have a 2500 annual limit for reimbursement. My dog has a 8 thousand dollar surgery and I only get 1200 for it is insane. And I cannot adjust it higher. I’m canceling once my contract is finished. You guys don’t care about pets only want money.

Continued increase in monthly payment, decrease in service/percentage of reimbursement when you need it the most.

When I originally purchased pet insurance, my puppy was a year old. I was paying $45 a month. When my company offered pet insurance as a benefit, I moved to their plan at $70 per month, but at 90% reimbursement. My puppy, now 12, was diagnosed with IMHA which is a blood disease and has been through the ringer with this disease. I received notice before renewal this year - which I never paid attention to... the fine print because I didn't think it would be this drastic of a decline in insurance, that the reimbursement percentage is going from 90% to 50% so Nationwide can continue to provide pet insurance for others. My monthly premium is NOT going down. It is now at $190 per month and has been this high for several years being with Nationwide.

my experience with a puppy fracture

I have been living in the USA for 1 year. A couple of months ago I got a York puppy. Having learned the prices for veterinary services, I knew for sure that I needed insurance. After all, a puppy, and such a tiny one at that, is always an adventure. I am looking for different plans and I liked Pumpkin. I was calm about the insurance. And then 2 weeks ago, my puppy broke his finger on a walk. One appointment with an x-ray cost me $1,300. 90% was covered by the insurance. Everything was very fast, and I received the money the next morning. Insure your furry ones! Take care of your nerves and their health!

Major Medical

When I was reinstating the policy I was told you no longer covered the ACL surgery. This will not work for the breed of dog I have so I will be canceling my coverage effective immediately.
