DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I've had embrace pet insurance for years. Never had a claim...never missed a payment. Rates started going up, $80 became $130...terrible..everything's going up..I get it... my dog is now getting older now and they just increase his coverage to $336 a month, if I change to lowest coverage its $160 a month for basically no coverage. Pricing my dog out of care. They know what they just did, that's why they sent me a letter saying what they did is legal in the state of Colorado. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY Please read the lies they sent me as a reply before you sign up for this company, because thats what you will get if you give them money, LIES

I highly recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance!

I visited the Nationwide Pet Insurance website after a friend referred me. The website was super easy to navigate; insurance packages were clearly outlined so you could see what was covered, costs were readily available and signing up for coverage was a BREEZE!

I wish I could give zero stars

I wish I could give zero stars. I have 3 pets and now have all of them with Lemonade. Fetch has been the worst pet insurance company I have ever dealt with. The are expensive and the reimbursement is terrible. It is like have a bad car warranty that doesn't cover anything. The customer service at Fetch is absolutely worthless. If you are looking for a wonderful pet insurance, consider Lemonade Pet Insurance. Lemonade is fantastic.

I feel scammed after a decade of paying into multiple policies

I have been with Embrace for about 11 years now. I currently have 3 cats insured and I had 1 cat who has passed, who was also covered throughout her life. Up until recently, I would rave about Embrace and recommend them to anyone looking for pet insurance. My policy is set to renew in a few weeks and I recieved the new documents for the upcoming year and to my surprise, my premium was doubled, without warning. I spoke to an Embrace representative, and the policy for my oldest cat went up substantially. The representative told me it was due to age (my cat turned 12 this year) and they could "look into ways to reduce the cost" but in doing so, the coverage would be decreased as well. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. My oldest cat had some major health issues in the last few months and we almost maxed out his benefits for the year in a matter of weeks. All of my pets have been insured with Embrace since they were young (all before they were 2 years old). There have been many years that we did not make any claims for the year, beyond their wellness rewards. I insured all of them with the maximum coverage available, knowing it was an investment for their future. Though they didn't need the coverage as much when they were young, I knew as they got older, they would, and I wanted to be prepared to take on any medical issues that came up. Now I feel that they raised the premium for my oldest cat based on the medical issues that came up recently. His medical issues were not pre-existing and up until he got sick recently, we again, hadn't used his insurance beyond his wellness needs. This price increase seems directly linked to his recent illness and I have no choice but to pay their ridiculous increase, so that my boy will have access to the medical help that he needs. Embrace also knows that if I cancel my coverage to look for a different insurance company, all these current illnesses would be considered "pre-existing " and they would not be covered with a new policy. My cat who passed away, who was also insured with Embrace, was 15y when she passed. Not once did Embrace increase her premium due to her age, like they are claiming is the reason for the new increase for my boy. But she also didn't have as many claims in her golden years as her brother is having, which seems very suspicious. My cat has been insured with Embrace since he was 6 months old. I've paid thousands of dollars over the last decade to Embrace, and now that we need the coverage they are doubling what we have to pay just to keep him insured with the same amount of coverage that he has had his entire life. I feel scammed and I know I have no choice but to pay because he needs to be insured. Embrace, please be more clear in your policy that if your pet becomes ill and uses too much of their insurance, you will increase the price to retain the same amount of coverage. That should be known to customers upfront since pre-existing conditions limit the coverage and ability to change providers. I am saddened that Embrace has put me and my pets in this position. I have been paying into this company for over a decade, knowing it would be an investment for when my pets as they got older and medical issues would inevitably start to arise. Now that we are using the insurance more regularly, they are increasing the prices as a punishment for needing it. UPDATE: In response to Embrace's reply: My premium has been DOUBLED. This wasn't a slight inflation price increase based off the factors you listed. This is a 200% premium increase. I pay about $200 a month but now I will have to pay $400 a month for the same amount of coverage.

Pets best is honest and reliable…

Pets best is honest and reliable coverage! Claims are easy to submit but can take a couple weeks to process. In the end, they always reimburse what your elected plan covers. It’s has already saved us over 10K in medical expenses for our unlucky, but very loved cat.

Exorbitant price increases!!!!!

The rates have gone up an average of 30-40% every year. This year for my 2 dogs it is going up 258%. It is going from $138.09 to $356.39. One of the dogs went up 320% because he turned 10. The other is only 4 years old and went up 55%. Despite what they say in their reply it is not true. My 10 year old has been insured since he was a puppy. He has never had a surgery! He las low thyroid and arthritis, that’s it!

Embrace Gelp!!

Embrace is great. I love that I am a member for 15 or more years. Very good to us. Yesterday though was the first time someone said they were going to send me a spread sheet of my dogs, Lexi, Jake, and Kings charges( how much did we spend on each dog). I told him that we need an idea of the charges to make an informed decision on picking a new policy. I have not received this spread sheet. This is the first time this has happened. I was being encouraged to maintain the 10000 reimbursement when I am trying to decide on the pricing. The amt has gone up and I need to review my option I was hoping for someone to help me with this issue. No help and no spread sheet. I have been a member for a long time. Pets Best Review.

Im new to insurance on animals so i was skeptical at first. After purchasing two very expensive miniature dachshunds, i knew i had to get them covered right away. After searching and searching, multiple different recommendations and videos explaining others experiences with different pet insurances, i went online to Pets Best and gave them a call for a run down of all coverage i could have to fit my budget. Within the time frame of holding 2 policies, ive already submitted 2 seperate claims. Choosing a insurance company that could help me with wellness visits and check ups was a huge must! Overall im very pleased and rest better knowing my two boys are covered and in great hands! Pets Best holds a great reputation and has the friendliest customer service team. Thanks Pets Best!
