Great
So glad I purchased Nationwide Insurance for my dog. So easy to pay since its deducted from my paycheck. Ivr had to take my fog to the vet a few times and its cost me well over 500 dollars. I have the app, so sending my claims are so easy and convenient, the processing time is reasonable, and the reimbursement is convenient as it is deposited right to my account. I've also called the vet line and have no complaints there either. I feel that my dog is covered well with nationwide. I am aware not everything is covered. So far, most of my dogs treatments and meds are. I've recommend Nationwide to friends with pets and will continue to do so. Thank you.

Great Insurance but high premiums
We have used VPI / Nationwide Pet Insurance for 13 years. Our only complaint is the premiums jump so much they older the pet gets. For instance, between age 12 & 13, it is jumping almost $30 per month for our renewal. This is over $1000 per year + the $500 deductible. This is making it a choice we need to revisit upon renewal.

The Claim was painless
The Claim was painless, the phone gets answered by a an actual person 24 hours a day. I was in the 24 hour emergency vet with our puppy who had broken his leg. The surgery was $6983.41 and we were covered. There was a guy in there with a 6 yr. old dog who also had a broken led. he did not have insurance or enough cash. they put his dog down. I will never not have pet insurance. it is the best investment I made all year.

wish my human insurance were so good
healthypaws saved the day. having to make a choice between your pet's health and your pocket book would be a devastating decision. healthy paws covered everything that could possible be covered (they do not cover the exam, and of course there is a deductible) with no arguments nor shady fine print escapism when my pup came down with multiple pneumonia and required extensive care. their customer service is top notch (they pick right up when you call (no phone tree to pick and choose through), and checked in on my boy after all the problems to see how he was doing). the price is within range of other insurance carriers. and they donate to charity. i am so grateful to be able to be there for my pup and worry less about finances.

Very pleased with Nationwide.
Nationwide (formerly VPI) is wonderful. This is our 2nd experience with covering our pets and they truly care and followup on their recovery. The insurance gives us a peace of mind knowing that we have help in the event of an incident where our furkid needs medical care. Customer Service is wonderful and always very polite, knowledgeable and informative. I do wish they would cover even a small portion of things like spay/neuter programs, and other certain breed specific things that VPI used to help cover. The cost of the insurance that we pay annually, has already more than paid for itself. Keep up the great job Nationwide.

Every pet should have THIS insurance!
A comprehensive, affordable plan for your pet, comparable or better to other plans I've checked out. I've had Trupanion for my mixed breed terrier, a rescue, for the past ten years and have a couple of claims under way. Very simple process, via email or regular mail, plus a professional, courteous customer service support has made for a satisfying experience. I highly recommend at least considering Trupanion for your insurance needs.
