Pets Best is helping my dog get well.

My dog Magic was suffering from haemorrhagic diarrhea and we didn't know the cause. He needed a colonoscopy and endoscopy to diagnose his condition so that we could treat it, but without Pets Best, I could not have afforded this test and the treatment it will take to get him back to being my happy companion. Thank you, Pets Best, for helping Magic get well!

Grateful to have Pet Insurance

My 6 year old Golden had a leg injury and he required ACL surgery. I submitted the estimate first to see if it would be covered. I was grateful that most of it would be covered. I had to use credit cards to pay it upfront but I was so relieved that I would get reimbursed for most of it. After submitting the claim online, it was a week to have the money deposited in my account. The company called to find out how my was doing post surgery. They are a caring company.

Fast turn around, 80%+ of costs covered

If you have a dog and don't pay for the most expansive insurance coverage you can afford you're out of your mind. Our dog Watson has had a year of bad luck... leading to $9,000 in vet bills. ASPCA covered over 90% of the costs. Absolute wallet saver. Having this lets us take care of our best friend.

Need higher caps for older dogs as that they require more care.

Your company has done a great job insuring two of my three dogs. However. as the dog ages the health issues increase. I would be willing to pay a higher premium to have some of the cost offset. Sometimes the medicine alone is $200 plus. That is a lot out pocket cost.

After I read the fine print – this is the company I chose.

My employer offers Pet Insurance at a group discount, however, I chose to go with Healthy Paws after I read the contracts to several of the insurers. Healthy Paws was the stand out. They may not offer the annual physical and vaccines, which in the Boston Area is, I want to say, around $200 a year, however this is what they have reimbursed me for (at 90%) over the past ten years for three rescued dogs. 90% reimbursement for the MRI’s and medication when my dog Ben developed epilepsy later in life. I also received reimbursement for the water treadmill physical therapy he received to treat myelopathy. I was reimbursed for acupuncture to help with his ailments. Healthy Paws reimbursed me for the surgery Ben needed when his spleen ruptured, and they also reimbursed him for the stomach surgery he received when food would not go into his stomach. Ben was able to live a long, healthy, happy and productive life – and Healthy Paws significantly offset the expense that was needed to provide him this. I had another dog that needed significantly less care. Holly was hospitalized once when she needed eye surgery – and once again, Healthy Paws paid for 90% of it. Finally, my dog Penny developed an issue where there was significant damage to her teeth. Healthy Paws reimbursed me for, what resulted in, two surgeries that totaled ten hours. Overall, I am very happy with Healthy Paws and plan on being a customer for a very long time.
