Excellent Customer Service

I've been with Nationwide for several years. The claims for Ginnie have been processed quickly and efficiently. Whenever I've had questions the customer service agents have been able to answer my questions and provide good advice on how to process the claim. We recently upgraded Ginnie's coverage. Cost of additional benefits was clearly explained. Glad I upgraded it was worth the extra cost.

Faster processing times.

I love the insurance coverage for my dog, but I feel like reimbursement times need to be faster as I have to pay out of pocket up front on top of my premium and if the bill were over $500 and I had to wait 3 weeks for payment, I would go hungry for that time period.

Good Service the 2nd Year

I switched from Banfield to Nationwide last April 2017 because I moved out of area and there were no Pet Smarts. I was extremely disappointing when her yearly dental was not covered in 2017 after I had researched and contacted Nationwide prior to purchasing. They assured me that if it was a yearly preventative service (which it was as Banfield records indicated) it would be covered. It was not. This year it was covered and so far my claims, they are processed quickly, easy to upload or fax claims, and track online. The dental cleaning is the only large veterinarian bill I have as I try to care for my pet responsibly and at 9 years old she has very few issues. It was a hardship to double my monthly pet insurance and also pay for dental cleaning as if I had no coverage. I understand that Nationwide is not the same type of coverage as Banfield but for the cost expected that they at minimum cover the same basic expenses.

You guys are amazing and biscuit loves you !

We have had nationwide pet insurance since biscuit was a baby and it has saved us so much. He accidentally ate a toy and had to get surgery twice within a month. I don’t know how we would have afforded it without you. Thanks for all you do

Good selection of plans at a reasonable price.

I was able to select a plan that fit my needs and budget. Claims are processed in a fairly reasonable time with consistent updates as to progress. I very satisfied with the service and the program.

High premiums, slow reimbursements, high deductible

I insure 3 dogs under my policies and pay almost $200/mo for their insurance. I have learned that having insurance is necessary as it just takes one serious illness or injury to wipe out a savings account. Having said that, it stings thinking that I pay $2,400 a year and have to wait 30 days for reimbursement just to find out a $100 deductible has not been met. I am assuming these premiums include a multiple dog discount? My answers below are not just about Jackie's claim but Paisleys' as well. BTW, I already get your newsletters by email.

Easy to file claims and love the vet call line.

I love this insurance as it is easy to file claims. I leave copies of the claim forms with my vet and they fax it in after I fill it out and sign it. I recently used the vet assistance 24 hour line and it saved me from taking my dog to a dog hospital and gave me piece of mind until I could talk to out vet the next morning and they said just to continue treatment for two additional days.

Initial payment process was somewhat challenging but now since everything is established , getting reimbursement is very convenient. Although our rate went up probably because we actually use the insurance.

Best Insurance Ever

We love Nationwide insurance for our dog. It is worth every penny and gives us the peace of mind when she gets sick/injured that we don't have to worry about getting her the care she needs do to cost as we are starting up our own business. The website is very easy to use and claims are easy to submit. We have had a wonderful experience with Nationwide Pet Insurance and recommend it to anyone who has a pet!
