Claims process is easy and understandable.
I don t know if it is just VCA but the claims process is easy and understandable. Also, compared to competitors, there is good coverage for a decent value.

Lack in clarity
I feel like the information about what is and is not covered is not so easy to find and left me with a big a hole of coverage that I thought my pet was covered for (therapeutic/holistic coverage). If I had known this I would have definitely opted for an additional rider and coverage years ago -- looking at my policy record it seems I'm a pretty great customer in the terms that I have paid always on time for the 8 years my pet has been enrolled. Crunching the numbers, Trupanion has loads more that I've paid in than I've claimed back. I'm feeling definitely lukewarm to cold about coverage and the clarity in what is and is not covered.

Lifetime per condition deductible
Knowing my animals would get care that I might not be able to afford is a great comfort to my wife and I. it's not a 10 only because of having a deductible for each occurrence of a specific type doesn't seem fair. Humans have an accumulative annual deductible for all conditions so why shouldn't animals. I understand each animal should have their own, but not per condition. The positive of this is that it is lifetime per condition.

Pets Best has always been very efficient with claims
Pets Best has always been very efficient about processing claims. We've been insuring our pets for 10 years with them and they have always been there for us, letting us make, what would be, hard financial decisions with ease. I feel totally confident with trupanion.
I feel totally confident with trupanion. Very professional n knowledgeable. U get what u pay for. And the rates are ok. The place I use works directly with trupanion...so there's nothing out of pocket to get reimbursed. It's just the deductible. They r friendly on the phone...n very compassionate. I just called regarding needing to put my cat to sleep. It was so comforting to speak with him. I will b getting another cat n of course I will have trupanion. I recommend it to all...and I so wish I knew insurance existed for the other 6 cats I have been blessed with. Things would have been so different. This place is wonderful. Skeptical at first
I was really skeptical when this plan was first presented to me. It is a really good investment and provides significant peace of mind. The claims process is exceptional between my vet and Trupanion. I have already recommended Trupanion to multiple people.

I have recommended Trupanion
My puppy being sick was one of the hardest things I've gone through. We thought we were going to lose her. It tore our hearts out. Thankfully because of Trupanion we were able to get her the help she needed. It was a huge relief. There was no hassle, pre-approval was a god send as was direct billing. I have already recommended Trupanion to everyone I know and wouldn't t hesitate to do so in the future.
