Adopted a senior cat (10 yrs) with some ear trouble and a thyroid condition. Vet visit to monitor and treat is NOT COVERED even though Trupanion’s site claims they cover congenital conditions like thyroid disease. My cat was also NOT COVERED for the exam for sneezing since he has a history of virus/cold/otitis. Very disappointed and wasting the $ I spend every month for coverage. I do not recommend Trupanion for older pets as basically any condition that pre existed, congenital or not, is apparently NOT COVERED. Put your insurance fee in the bank instead and save for emergencies.

These guys are quite literally life savers! I don't know that we would have been able to afford all the treatment for our dear, sweet, Clementine had it not been for Healthy Paws. We signed up for Healthy Paws just a few months before our pup was diagnosed with caner. Healthy Paws has covered 90% of her medications, lab work, and surgeries adding up to over $25,000 and counting. All you have to do is take a picture of the vet bill using the app and you'll get a check in the mail within the week (you can also sign up for direct deposit). It really could not be any easier! I recommend Healthy Paws to everyone I know.

A long history with Trupanion. Trupanion has helped me keep my kitty going for the last six years, since his diagnosis of pancreatitis, IBD, cholangitis, SIBO, arthritis and asthma. Always there, always fair.

I'll always have insurance through Pets Best!
I brought my 1 1/2 year old boxer dog in for allergy testing. He's never had it done before and not a pre-existing condition. I was really nervous because it was an expensive procedure and I've heard horror stories of insurances finding ways of not paying. Not pets best! They paid for everything! Except a $7 charge for disposal of waste. I only had my 10% co-pay. I was relieved and so glad I invested in pet insurance. It is totally worth it. I think the claims process is easy, just snap a picture and submit. It takes about a week to process and then 1-2 business days to get paid. Every time I call the people are super friendly and very helpful. I'll always have pet insurance through Pets Best! Thanks!

Excellent Coverage/Ease of Claim Submissions
So far, excellent coverage on well visits and preventative care as well as unexpected issues that come up. Well worth it to have insurance coverage for your pets, absolutely. Also, it’s very easy to submit claims and receive reimbursement directly to your bank account (especially if you use the VitusVet app).

So happy to have Trupanion coverage.
When our cat was healthy, we doubted whether we should pay the monthly premiums. Then we found out our beautiful cat has only 25% of his kidneys and he is only 11. Fortunately we never cancelled his insurance. Vet bills are expensive and because of Trupanion, we can focus on giving him care and love without the worry of vet bills. Thank you, Trupanion.

Claims process took less than a week.
Frisco had a swollen eye almost shut. Took him to the vet and received treatment and follow up appointment. Filed the claim and in less than a week, received notice and it was added to our deductible.
