Brutal rate increase!!!
I’ve had Spot insurance for a year. We adopted an older cat and insured her for 1 year at $182 ($2500 max, $250 deductible, 20% copay). She ended up having some arthritis and we put in a claim. One year later Spot has raised our price to $498 a year. I guess it’s a good value, until you submit a claim… Can’t wait to see our new premium increase next year (sarcasm intended). On the positive side, submitting claims is easy and they do reimburse quickly without any drama.

Absolutely fantastic—the smartest investment for our pet!
I cannot say enough good things about Trupanion—absolutely fantastic service! The response time is always incredibly quick, which gives us great peace of mind. The best part of this service is that so many veterinarian emergency centers and hospitals accept the plan and allow Trupanion to pay them directly. It takes the financial stress out of the equation when you are worried about your animal. This is hands down one of the smartest investments I have ever made for my family and our wonderful, beautiful pet. 5 stars all the way!

It’s not very easy to maneuver through the website for me
I like that MetLife has a dog insurance. It’s hard to maneuver through the website for me. I wish the deductible was not so high, especially when I have two dogs.

Premiums gone crazy
I don't know why my premiums are going up bt about 1/4 starting in January. Perhaps I should look elsewhere?

MetLife pet insurance has been great
MetLife pet insurance has been great! We have a 9 month old puppy and they have definitely saved us from some expensive emergency and routine bills.

The experience has been fine
The experience has been fine. However I was just quoted policies for both dogs at significantly less cost, and instead of a $3000 maximum annual benefit, it is for $20k on each dog.

They raise my rates a lot every year
They raise my rates a lot every year. It seems like if I use it at all one year they raise it enough to cover the cost of following year. It’s bullshit.

Overall, pretty darn good
The only reason I didn't give a 5 is because a couple reimbursements seemed to take awhile.
