Relatively painless experience
Relatively painless experience. I never felt like I was fighting for payouts. Everything that should be covered was covered with minimal (if any) denials. Two issues that kept me from giving 5 stars: 1) annual rates skyrocketed over the life of the pet (understandable, but still sticker shock), and 2) payouts were often months after the fact. If you can financially weather that, then no problem, but if paying a bill and waiting several months for reimbursement would disrupt your life, you should maybe look elsewhere

The price of the plan for my perfectly healthy pet has increased from in 2023 $79 to an upcoming $330 in 2026. I had 0 claims since 2023. This is theft! I will be canceling immediately even though they make it extremely difficult to cancel. Ever since getting bought out, this company has been a nightmare. Stay away from them.

peace of mind in paying for elder cat's care
Nationwide has really made it possible for me to take the best possible care of my elderly cat. This year alone I have been reimbursed around $2800 for $3300 worth of pet care. I pay about $100 month, so I have been more than repaid for my investment. When I go in to order tests or medication for her, I do it confidently, knowing that Nationwide will reimburse fairly and promptly. They have a service that deposits the refund directly into your account. I have never had a problem with getting services or prescriptions reimbursed that were covered by the plan. When animals are young, it's easy to think that insurance is an expensive luxury, but as they grow older and need more intensive care, insurance is critical.

I wasn't sure that insurance was worth…
I wasn't sure that insurance was worth it but on the first visit I paid $249 Embrace reemburshed me $150 of that, which is great. They didn't give me more I guess due to the fact that one charge was a fecal test at $70 so its all good. I have 90% and $100 deductable.
