Always a fight
They have really gone down hill in the last few years. Signed my dog up first year was 80$/mo by the time his second birthday came around it was $185/mo. Called and was told it was inflationary. Wow funny how my vet’s fees haven’t gone up 235%. Guess the new underwriter needs to recoup from my wallet. Every claim I made they refused at first. Vet constantly argued On the phone with them to get some coverage for a 30$ bottle of pills or ointment for an eye infection. Very disappointed and switched companies. Better coverage for half the price. Save yourself the hassle.

Best insurance company ever
We decided to get insurance for our dog after the neighbor’s dog ate a ball and cost them upwards of $8000. Ever since we have had trupanion, we have had nothing but awesome customer service, quick claims and they have never made excuses not to pay us the 90% due. About a year after getting Trupanion, our dog started to suffer the effects of environmental/seasonal allergies, leading us to have to be referred to a specialist and the tests and medications have cost us upwards of several thousands. Trupanion has always paid us back the 90% promised for his tests and medicines- saving us thousands. We are really happy with Trupanion.

Not beneficial for me.
As having a young dog with no huge issues, I find this not beneficial for me. The deductible is $500 per each issue and I would want to use it for any issue.

Trupanion is great
I've been with Truoanion for over 12yrs now with my two pugs and it's been great! They unfortunately have had a number of different health conditions between the two of them over the years. But thanks to Trupaion who always came through for us made the experience much less costly which in turn gave me the ability to give my pugs a better quality of life.

I have been super satisfied over the years with my policy. I now have 2 dogs and my 2nd one has had some issues and is on monthly medication. So glad I invested in insurance.

am extremely happy with Trupanion
am extremely happy with Trupanion, although am disappointed, that the company changed the policy on cold laser treatment from a treatment to a therapy without notifying me ! My pet dog Cooper was doing really well with the laser. I am a senior and cannot afford to have this wonderful treatment.
