This was the first significant claim
This was the first significant claim that we've had processed through the years. I do like how well integrated the process was to our particular vet. My main reason for maybe not referring friends is the stated benefit that rates will not go up with the age of my pet. As my dog has gotten older her rate did increase and while age wasn't given as the reason, the stated reason was much harder to believe ( the reason given was said to be metrics of similar dogs in my area, to which I asked for data from the company to support, and I never received any information to back up that reasoning ). The customer service on the phone calls I've made have always been excellent. I do appreciate that the company is somewhat local, and our overall experience has been good ( we really wish preventative measures would be covered more than they are currently as well ), but I hope that these comments help the company in some way. I realize It's hard for a company to balance things for every customer, but your're in a really good spot, but since your're close to great, I wanted to share what would, in my opinion get you there :) thanks for caring!

So glad I got this insurance!
This pet insurance has been thse best investment. It's about 550 a year for my dog and has a 250 deductible. I would spend that in a year for sure on vet bills, so having the insurance spreads out the cost over the entire year. And, if heaven forbid you get into some really big health issues, it's covered.

Good program but very slow to process claims
I am happy with Nationwide Pet Insurance after two years with the policy, and so far only claimed wellness expenses. No experience with major medical so cannot comment on that. It does take a long time for Nationwide to process claims at 3+ weeks.

Excellent Support & Fast Claim Pay
Pet parent of 11 yr old mixed large breed dog. Thought of spending almost $100/month was something I wrestled with. However ultimately after several online chat sessions and emails where each representative was very patient and thorough in answering my many questions, I was more at ease. Claim process by Embrace has far exceeded my expectations, especially with payout. Have had policy for less than 3 months and I've had 3 claims submitted (diagnostic blood work, comprehensive blood work, and medication...optional cost but worth it). Each claim was paid out via direct deposit (love that they offer this option) within 72 hours of getting email confirmation of receipt of claim. Recommend buying as much policy as you can afford upfront as fine print says if you increase coverage wait period applies. New wait period does not apply to reducing coverage. Also check with your bank or other insurance company for your home/auto as they may offer a discount for your pet policy. Sad to have had to use policy so soon but so thankful I have it so my girl can get the care she needs and I have the peace of mind knowing I can now afford it. Waiting on vet to submit claim for recent surgery to remove a sock she ate ($2700), and have every confidence it will be handled as efficiently as the prior claims.

I never expected the increase in premium from puppy to 1 yr old with full coverage. Not leaving Nationwide however, a 20% increase is ridiculous.
