Happy with the great claim response and service. Not happy that the rates continue to climb each year.

Have been with Trupanion since 2008 and am very happy with their service. Claims are responded to quickly and communications are handled well. However, I am frustrated that every year the rates have been raised significantly with the same explanation of 'hey, it's expensive out there'. Doesn't matter if I am a long term client or not, and that my dog is pretty much healthy or not.

Pleased with the Pets Best team.

I am pleased with the response from the team there. My only objection is how little you pay for various wellness items. It really doesn't reflect current charges by veterinarians.

Claims experience is good

Claims experience is good with the exception of having to satisfy deductibles for everything It seems. The other complaint I have is that my payment has increased every year since I signed up which I was told wouldn't happen when I gave my business to Trupanion....afraid to go to the vet as Trupanion will raise my rate next year....and she isn't even 3 yet!

Trupanion helped us out

For our puppy we decided to get trupanion after having several dogs in the past that ended up costing a small fortune when they became ill. We are so happy with this insurance as we have had to use it for our 9mth old puppy. I would encourage anyone with a pet to get insurance as you never know when you will need it!!!

Worth the cost...

For anyone trying to decide whether pet insurance is worth the cost, it most definitely is! No matter how much you strive for good health and the safety of your pet, things happen. Having pet insurance has helped us through many costly expenses that we never saw coming. My small monthly premium is totally worth the peace of mind it provides. Thank you PetsBest for being there for our much loved furry family members!

Not impressed.

Over the last month I have had 1500$ in vet bills because my dog developed a stubborn cough. Of that 1500$, 700$ was my deductible. Of the remaining 800$ Embraced decided they only needed to reimburse me 120$. My plan calls for 90% reimbursement, my math is showing they’re reimbursing me for 15%. 15 is a long way from 90. Way to take care of your customer and hold up your end of the bargain, Embrace. I’d have saved money by not paying for the monthly premiums and just paying the entire 1500 out of pocket. Maybe you should start covering ALL of the care past the deductible and not nitpicking what is covered and what isn’t. As soon as I get my measly 120$ I’m cancelling my policy.

Great Insurance Coverage by a Caring Team.

ASPCA provides a good coverage at a reasonable monthly rate. Additionally their staff is very helpful, courteous, caring about the well being of my pet and responsive.

Wonderful

I have had a policy on my corgi, Roxie, for a couple of years now. It’s always been great to have the peace of mind to know that if something were to happen, I don’t have to hold back on getting what she needs because of the cost. We have had unexpected surgeries and surprise vet visits, so having the policy has always been great for those. More recently, Roxie collapsed late at night and we took her to the emergency clinic. After that visit, plus others with her regular vet and a cardiologist, she was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma in her heart, which is very aggressive and typically only has a prognosis of a few months. With the help of the insurance policy, I have been able to get her more testing and ultrasounds, plus I don’t hesitate to make follow up appointments at the expensive specialists. I don’t know how much longer I have left with Roxie, but it’s comforting to know that while going through this difficult time, one less thing I have to worry about is the cost of her care.
