Reimbursement is very easy
Our Golden Retriever was diagnosed with a seizure disorder shortly after she turned 1 year old. She has had expensive vet visits, tests, and monthly medications to try and treat her condition. Without trupanion, we would not have been able to afford to care for her. I recommend Trupanion all the time to friends and family. The claims process and reimbursement is really easy.

Allowed us to afford saving his life
We had pet insurance for our dog since a pup. The coverage we received was amazing and I would say it allowed us to afford saving his life more then once. Without pet insurance we would have had to put our dog down due to the cost.

Premium is high
I'm not confident that Trupanion actually has any value - the premium cost is high, and the deductibles are also high and don't include the office visit fee. I'm beginning to realize I'd have to have a $2,000 expense before Trupanion would pay a dime. If I just saved and invested the $2,000 each year, in five years I'd have enough to cover most pretty substantial expenses. That might be a better option. I just haven't decided yet.

So far everything has been smooth
So far everything has been smooth and easy ! My deductible has not been met yet , so I am still paying out of pocket. The good side of that is my Dog is nice and healthy :)

Have had Trupanion for 3 dogs
I have had Trupanion for 3 dogs so far. I have never really had any major medical needs before, but my DDB is having serious bone issues, Trupanion has paid more than I ever could have expected. I send in my bill and I immediately receive notification and within a few weeks I receive a check and breakdown. It is a relief and pleasure to have Trupanion and I always talk about how exceptional the process is. Thank You and I will never have a pet without Trupanion. Luv It!

Trupanion has been 100 reliable
Trupanion has been 100 reliable with regard to our policy and what they told us up front. I constantly recommend Trupanion to my friends who are animal parents! Trupanion is the only company that my vet recommends by posting pamphlets with regard to pet insurance. Pretty good advertisement, right?
