Outstanding pet insurance & outstanding service!
I can’t speak highly enough about MetLife Pet! I have never had pet insurance (in spite of having multiple dogs for several years!) so when my company offered it as a option for my health insurance, I jumped on it right away! Little did I know how excellent the service would be! Everybody & everything from the representatives who answer the phone to the process of receiving payment for various issues/procedures with my golden retriever, everything has been wonderful. My rates went up slightly, but I’m not surprised because my golden had a copperhead snake scare, and mast cell cancer last year; most everything was covered by MetLife and reimbursed, and it only went up $10. I’m thrilled with their kindness, their , Services, and would not hesitate to recommend them 100% 10 out of 10 stars!

The people
The people made this great. The rising cost is why I can’t give 4 stars, and not having the sliding scale of deductible is another reason. But the fact that I can call, not wait on hold and speak with a pet lover like me is why this company is the only company I’d choose. I also like how I can bill Trupanion’s directly without having to go out of pocket first.

Trupanion is Great!!!!!
We have had Trupanion for over 11 years and never really needed it until our little pug hurt her neck and required a MRI, Surgery, and ICU care after surgery. Trupanion promptly authorized all the charges and she is recovering at home now. This was a very expensive event and we are very happy we had the insurance through Trupanion. They authorized everything in less than five minutes. Thank you Trupanion.

The experience with Trupanion has been amazing…
The experience with Trupanion has been very positive, our claims have gone through without any issues. I’m so glad we have this coverage because at 7 years old our dog Chevy developed severe allergies to “life” and became a frequent flyer at the vet- we couldn’t have afforded this treatment without this coverage.

The entire company needs overhauling
Pet Insurance is a way to bridge the gap when your pet has an illness, or accident but what happens when things don't work as they should? This company has some internal issues. From their debit processing not working with Bank of America to their online system not allowing email update to their claim system being an absolute joke. What was I paying for? Absolutely nothing, so eventually I downgraded. I had the absolute highest tier 90% for my healthy cat, including wellness but it was money down the drain since I rarely filed any claims and my cat continued to age and they continued to increase the policy amount. Eventually I reduced my policy until I cancelled the illness and wellness policies and am currently on an accident only policy. Would not recommend. I received an email stating my vet had not responded with medical records for my cat and that I had two days to submit the medical records before the claim would be closed. The very next day I received an email that the claim was closed with explanations citing lack of medical records and advising me that I could reapply for the claim. This was absolutely horrible claim service. Instead of PetsBest believing me regarding the accident only claim, that I sent with pictures and an explanation with the invoice, they asked for preexisting conditions. There are no preexisting conditions. It's an accident that happened. They were attempting any way possible not to pay the claim. PetsBest could have given me the opportunity to submit the medical records sooner or given me a longer window than two days, once they claimed they did not receive the records from my vet. Also when I spoke with my vet she said she never received a request from PetsBest. When I looked at my claim explanation it listed a Ventura location, not my Apple Valley location. Clearly the underwriters made mistakes and did not pay attention to detail. This further reduces my faith in this company. I did nothing wrong and my cat was involved in an incident that by your their policy qualifies as an accident. This entire situation was handled poorly and none of it was my fault. PetsBest is a horrible company. I've been with PetsBest since 2019 and I cannot believe the level of incompetence and poor service I receive. Definitely would not recommend to others.

Singlehandedly the worst…
This is singlehandedly the worst insurance I've ever had the displeasure of being subscribed to. Didn't get a single cent back from the "completed" claims. I had to pay $2k+ for my kitten's Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) within the last MONTH and had Embrace weeks before the visits AND the diagnosis. The tests, bloodwork, visits, compound medicine, they all added up to $2,000. I paid $125~ for Embrace membership (2 months) and they could only refund a measly $9. I cannot stress this enough... I'd rather pay $2,000 out of pocket five times every month than to have to pay $50 a month to Embrace ever again. Also their customer service is bad. I kid you not, within the same day, I waited for 20 mins for the first call, and 30 mins ON THE DOT for the other call. I was this close to hanging up. And they have the audacity to have a voice line in the hold-call that says they're rated top customer service by some company. That's real funny. Save your money, mental health, time, and your pet's time. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR EMBRACE PET INSURANCE. Actual thieves.

They are very quick with payments
They are very quick with payments. My only complaint is how much the premiums go up with pet’s age.

Outrageous Increases
The coverage itself is fine, It's just the rates are outrageous once they have you. It seems like once they lock you in with a condition that would be pre-existing if you went elsewhere, the cost goes up exponentially. what started at $60/mo coverage, is now $148, going up $38 this year alone! Seems to me that I might be better off just saving the money in a separate account to cover the vet bills, at least I would get interest!
